I think that decision is up to the seller. lolwhat if someone says O.B.O. ?
that stands for "Or Best Offer", no ?
so if your asking $25.000, but i offer $750 AND i am the ONLY offer you get, shouldnt mine qualify as Best Offer?
and I reserve the right to accept any offer. Period. Tell me you will put an LS in my 70 340 Duster......NOT!!!!what if someone says O.B.O. ?

Best offer could mean "more" than the asking price too. If I'm selling and asking 5000, and you pull up and say "I won't even offer less, here is your 5000..." but somebody pulls up as you are getting your wallet out and says "I'll give you 5500 cash now". He is the best offer, so your 5k is no good any longer. This has happenedwhat if someone says O.B.O. ?

this. Here is the best way to handle what is "reasonable offer".
State at the start "you can make your offer in my drive way". So, everyone that believes that 250 buck offer is reasonable on a 1000 dollar item, let them drive 2 hours and make that offer. LOL. They won't, because they absolutely know they do not have a reasonable offer and they would waste 4 hours on the road.
People "think" they are being reasonable when they offer pennies on the dollar, but when asked to drive here, and I'll listen to your offer when we are here in person looking at the car. They won't show, because no matter how they say they are being "reasonable" with their offer, they won't waste their time and come. Because they aren't being close to reasonable...this.
if i'm selling a car, i'm not negotiating on the phone. and i tell people that up front. you're welcome to drive over here and waste your time.
ask my bottom dollar and i'll give it to you. and i'll also tell you to pound sand when you show up and think you're gonna grind me for less.
on a car, if you show up and throw out a number thats 50% of ask, i'll know that you're not a serious person and you're wasting time. expect to get treated accordingly.
Were not talking about normal haggling, people are arguing that seller should have zero problems receiving and dealing with unreasonable people and their offers.Yeah,,,it’s funny how some get offended by normal haggling .
And you have the right to ignore peoples requestBut,,,it’s a free county ,,,,you all have the right to feel that way .

If that elevator is going down I would go with the daily rate. Probably would kill me but we all gotta go sometime and might as well go with a smile. Just saying.I am trying to figure out what's reasonable here.
Should I go by the hour, or just go all in by the day? Asking for a friend.

Depends on your heart condition. An hour OR a day could kill ya!!If that elevator is going down I would go with the daily rate. Probably would kill me but we all gotta go sometime and might as well go with a smile. Just saying.
I agree but like I mentioned what a way to go. F**k the heart, I'll take my chances LolDepends on your heart condition. An hour OR a day could kill ya!!
hai just bought a 340 and came with a free pie tin ....Well I've been following this never-ending saga and have been surprised that it hasn't been mentioned about a reasonable offer might only be expected if a reasonable price is included ?? I recently seen at Carlisle (this month) pie tins for $800. Yes one pie tin $800 . I wouldn't even bother talking any further. I know people have paid $500 for some but not me. I saw some for $300 and if I truly needed one I might offer $225 to start and see what happens. That I consider a reasonable opening offer. Again all this is just an opinion and we all know about opinions.
Feel free to disagree, be offended, move on or continue to haggle.
My sale pricing is reasonable. I go on line and see what others are asking and list my price at half. I want to sale, but not to a flipper. NO NEGATION!!!!Reasonable shouldn't be a slap in the face offer. "Reasonable" I know what you mean. Post a price you will take for it. Why price it at $1000 but you would accept $850. That's why we like to see bargaining taken to a PM and not plugging up a sale thread.
