My '90 Dodge 3.3 V6 has a deeper unique sound.
Goes off the 2 into 1 manifold, then into the catalytic converter, then into the factory used 100,000 mile muffler, then into an 18" long resonator, then up over the rear axle, and out below the lower right rear quarter.
Actually sounds OK.
Maybe you can push your single exhaust over to the passenger side at the bell housing area, put a muffler on, then a resonator, then up over the rear end and out the lower right rear quarter.
That's the line my '76 slant 6 truck took as the 16 gallon plastic gas tank was on the driver's side.
Out the passenger side, the less you will notice the pulse, and you will hear the rumble up through the body instead.
Worth a try, 2" exhaust pipe also instead of the pea shooter tail pipe it came stock with.
