Back in 2010, I bought a 71 340 Duster that had a 318/904 combination. I intended to put a Gen III Hemi in it. All of my Mopar, Chevy, and Ford buddies convinced me that a genuine 340 car demands a 340 to be put back into it. Soooo, after a few years (and quite a few $$$) I have a complete matching 71 340/727 combination from a different car, a disassembled standard bore 68 340 as a spare parts source, various intake manifolds, carbs, cams, heads, and rear third members.
I also bought a 1969 Dodge Polara 500 convertible with the numbers matching 330hp 383/727 combination. It is my freeway/highway and beach cruiser. I bought this because I wanted a big block car again and b-body prices were astronomical.
Oh, and my Gen III car is a 2007 Charger RT that I bought in 2011 after I took the Duster off of the road to put the 340 in it.
All of this because I wanted a Gen III in a Duster.
