Yeah it still gets driven on the street when the heat and humidity isn’t suffocating around here…like right now. I def added some weight with the cage but I ditched the backseat and I might replace the buckets (those SOBs are like 40lbs each) with some low back alum seats to keep it kinda nostalgic looking. Working on ideas to close out the back seat area from the trunk also.Looks really nice. Much more street car(ish) than I thought you were going for.
Preemptively answering questions is awesome.FYI the big box of Kilmat, 36 sq feet is 17lbs. It will cover an entire floor and firewall. $75 on Amazon.
Hey the stuff I used is basically the same as you, good stuff, works great. It does help keep heat out. Mines just the rattletrap ***.Put this Kilmat stuff all over the interior. It’s the poor boy version of Dynomat. Great stuff, easy to install but it def adds some weight.

Well at least it looks good.Still putting this thing back together. Wanted to take it for a test drive today but the engine is running like ****. Not sure what happened. Can’t even get it out of the garage. Back firing thru the intake and exhaust. The AFR hunts all over the place when idling. I got a few logs I need to go through and see if I can it down.

That’s always a risk. They disconnected the battery and the ECU before welding but maybe a sensor or something got zapped. I’m seeing rpm sync loss and the fan going off whenever it tries to die. Gonna start with the basics and check all my grounds. Put a new Optima battery in it recently also.Well at least it looks good.
Think welding on the car may have backfed something?
Oh no not you too, damn electrical gremlins. Hope you get yours sorted out sooner then I do, I'm still stuck waiting on fuel filter elements from Summit, to see where my gremlins are at or if they are fixed.Still putting this thing back together. Did it make contact?I think this might be a problem.

Oh yeah. There’s no air in that gap. Took a gouge out of the sensor all the way through the aluminum housing. Not sure when or how it happened but the sensor shifted at some point and got chewed up by the crank trigger.Did it make contact?
Yep happens, mine even had a lock washer between the nut and the mount. That sucks. Glad you found it.Oh yeah. There’s no air in that gap. Made it to the track yesterday. It was a really hot humid day and rain stopped us on a couple of occasions but I got like 8 runs in which is amazing,
My best was a 6.65 at 108mph. I gave it all the boost (100% DC on boost controller) and hit a max of about 18.5psi. The engine was cutting out about 50’ from the stripe. You can hear it here.
I figured it out this morning. I bumped up against the Over Boost Protection. Glad to see it worked though. You can definitely hear it cutting out. Can you tell in the log what was dropping? Still crank signal?
Well damn. Start hittin the up arrow on that little box and let er eat.I figured it out this morning. I bumped up against the Over Boost Protection. Glad to see it worked though.

Wish I had thought to check that while still at the track. Came home last night thinking the higher psi was blowing out the spark. The other challenge I have is figuring out the tune with water/meth injection enabled. IATs were hitting 150F but any amount of W/M I sprayed at it spiked AFRs or some other threshold and killed the engine. Gotta dig through the logs and try to narrow that down.Well damn. You aren’t alone on that one. I’ve done it, and I’ve seen a bunch of other guys do it. You turn the boost up and forget to add numbers to the overboost. ****, if you watch Cleetus, they do it all the time. It happens.Wish I had thought to check that while still at the track. Are you still spraying water? I thought you had switched to straight meth? I have different opinions depending on what mixture you’re spraying.
