Stop in for a cup of coffee

Guy advertised he had 64 and 65 Barracuda stuff. Went up to look at the 904 transmission.

Not a 64, but a 65 although the housing cast states 64... I dug out the rail number and pulled the pan to verify that it was a 65.

Then I see another transmission back by a shed...

Yup, 64

He was about to take that to the scrap yard. Told him I wanted the 64. He gave me both along with the torque converter that was still in the 64.

Everything turns freely and the fluid is still red and the end play feels right as well.

Sounds like you had a good day and hope it works out in your car.

Several years ago a guy at work that heard about me being a major Mopar guy came into the company shop looking for me. He had a complete 440 with the AC pump and accessories still on it that he wanted out of his garage. Said to bring some friends along to help load it. Heck, at the time I had a Tommy Lift on my 1 ton single wheel. Showed up by myself, lowered the lift gate and backed up to it and pushed the engine over onto the tailgate then powered it up and slid it into the bed. The guy said if he knew it was going to be so easy, he would have charged me for it lol. I offered to pay for it but he said no. I was happy.

Nice win.

Yeah. The guy bought 2 Barracudas ( one as a parts car) so it's nice that these were in a vehicle until now and not sitting outside.

He already has a really nice 64 Charger that's hot rodded. 500 stroker (pretty sure that's what he said)

A 64 Charger?

Now much around there that turn colors....summer time everything is nice and green....winter time, everything looks dead except for the live oak trees. Those don't lose the leaves until spring time when the new leaves start to bud out.
Stupid Pin Oaks. My neighbor across the street planted a few along the street. Getting rid of all the leaves late in the fall doesn't end until spring when you have to do it all over again. :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead:
