1964 Valiant "Get Runnin & Drivin"

if on wet or especially after a dry season and get the first rain (oil slick) it will help a bunch, more side wall and tread is a good thing under these liter cars. Looks great, and very happy Rob
Oh no doubt. The wider they get, the more useless wet traction can become. Remember the Firestone Wide Oval? I'm showing my age now, but those tires would get you KILLED in the rain. lol

tell me about it, my 67 GTS came with red streak Wide Ovals and the day I bought it and it was raining the first time I hit passing gear I was holding on, Joe

So Vixen's gettin some more stickers. Got the fronts. The ones for the rear will be here tomorrow.

Well, somebody hit Vixen in the parking lot at Ingles in Gray today. Dented the trunk lid, back panel and put a small spot on the bumper. I already got over 90% of it out, but it really chaps my butt that whoever did it just drove away. I'd never do that to anybody. I would have gone in and found them and told them about it.

That sucks! Sorry.

I'm starting to think more and more about a dash cam setup for all of my cars. Just for this reason.

It's like you can't own anything nice. They probably looked at it and said it looks like a piece of junk; they don't understand all the hard work that went into that car.

I would press for a parking lot video. Someone should be responsible.
I thought about it. I'm sure they have a security camera system. It's so minor though. I've never been one to go after somebody. If it was painted nice, I might would. As it is, it's just another dent to fix. ...and a really small one, too.

That's shitty. Karma's a *****. They'll get there's.
I don't know. I used to think like that. Might been a senior citizen who didn't realize they hit it. Kitty made an astute observation though, that the impact point was mostly ABOVE the rear bumper. There's a witness mark in the bumper chrome, but no dent, so the main point of impact was above the bumper. That says to me either a big tall SUV or 4x4 truck.

Dang, sorry to hear that, Rob. :( We have several scrapes and dings in the wife's '17 Challenger from being hit in parking lots while parked in a HANDICAP spot. It's black so every little scratch shows. She says how does this happen? I remind her that I have said for years that most folks simply don't care.

Well, we knew all along that if we drive it, something would happen sooner or later. It's a small thing so no big deal really. That still don't make it right.
