Guns, Dogs and Blades QnA

I’m with @Sublime one. Guessing .22LR has killed more deer than any round! Weren’t talking legal were we?
Badges, we don’t need no stinking badges! Arkansas has less than 3 million people in the whole State and I want to say just over seventy percent live outside any urban area. Translated most folks, myself included have at least a thirty minute commute just for groceries. It is a different lifestyle. I have been to Northern Michigan and is the same kind of folks up there as down here, literally give you the shirt off their back and their last loaf of bread, but you step on the property in the middle of the night and do some thing stupid. Well let’s just say they ain’t gonna wait on the Sheriff. Same folks except for that funny Yankee accent y’all got!

I’m in Western Michigan, but still the same. Things that matter most me: my faith, my family, my freedom. Accent? C’mon now! We ain’t got no accent up here unless you get to the UP, eh?

There's couple of famous photos of a local woman up in Alaksa who killed a Kodiak Bear or simialr with a .22 rifle. Maybe not recommended but people use what they got.

The use of the word "yankee", speaks volumes.

My speculation of the 30-30 was merely how long the round has been around compared to other rounds but after some research, the rimfire was developed before the 30-30. 1857 was the introduction of the 22 short.

he's just bustin chops. He spent god knows how many years North Dakota.
Besides we a ll know it was the "Yanks" that went over and helped Britain and France push the Kaiser's troops back to where they came from. ;)

My friends' boy was screwing around and tried to poke a hole in a deers' ear. He killed her. His buddy turned him in for the ransomed money. TIP MONT I bet he got the pillow cover treatment. lol

And don’t forget, Washington, Oregon, and Canada! O dang it does that make me an official transplant? True story I would send my Brother back home salmon and in return he would send me catfish! And my Dad would send me grits every year for my birthday! Be safe Matt and have fun!

Remind me to tell you my “Smelt” fishing story sometime. I was in fact up in the UP. Have hood will travel!

Dry practicing for the match last night and no ping! The clip barely popped up. Best I can figure the clip ejector is going south. I don't see any broken pieces so going to roll with it until I get new one.

Woo Hoo! Very nice. I can smell that back strap frying in cast iron from here. My 308 has been very quiet, the coyotes however have not been! Just to many song dogs for my liking. We have not seen anything, not jumped anything, have not even got snorted at. We got a big kitty cat that has moved back onto the mountain and the coyotes need to hear a little screaming rabbit call. Dumb cat rolls thru about every seven weeks. We catch him on our game cams. He ain’t helping that’s for sure. By same token frankly I did not invest much time or energy in this years season. We hunt on our own farm so we know it pretty well. I have just been to busy.

Good morning to all in the fun thread, Have a great day, enjoy your family and four legged friends, keep them safe, fed, and smiling in your homes today.
