69 Barracuda grille surround color

So why do I see the plastic grille surround on some fishes black and some argent? Is there a specific reason for that?

If you're considering a change, after repairing cracks, I turned my standard argent surrounds and egg crates black with SEM trim paint.....

Thanks but mine are already black. Just curious about why the difference. I do have trim black but in a gallon. I spray quite a bit of that stuff
