A friend of mine got "M0M" and "DAD" for his parents here in Oregon way back when (80s)... I know they still had them up to about 3 years ago...

I think that was cool.

My 1970 Duster 340 license reads: 70DUSTR. You can't believe how many folks still ask me: "What year is that Duster?"

Heres my duster plate, "THE MOP" It's on the duster I built for when my girl ain't ridin "THE BROOM" LoL and my plate for the waggin will be here any day,I think this is appropriate for the lil' car "1 WAGGIN" all the others I wanted were taken

Thought this was fun to have on the Dart.
I was also one of the Unbelievers in these types of tags until I got this car.

I think personalised plates are cool, but here in Wisconsin you shell out $85 buck a year and must comply with all motor vehicle rules. I went with Hobbiest plates, a one time $175 fee good forever, and with a Pro street car I'm not hindered by bumper height, hood scoop height, exhaust levels, you know all the typical BS.

Some more I've seen or thought of are:

KILLR B
B STUNG
M CODE ...so from there you have H, J, V, R and so on
UD LOSE
2 HOT 4U
2 FST 4U
POPS 70
HEMI BEE

y wouldnt you wanna get some if the prices were the same?

Here in California personallized plates are an additional $41-$90 (depending on type) when you first order them, and then an additional $30-$70 per year on top of your regular registration fee. The extra fees are used to support programs pertinent to the organizations interest.
Having a Historic Vehicle plate limits you to driving in parades, historical exhibitions, or historic club activities ONLY. No fun in that.

An old friend of mine who was into Flathead Fords had 4 that he used.

HOT ROD
HQT ROD
HOT RQD
HQT RQD
On the actual plates, the tail on the Q is so small that from 10 feet away they look like a 0. It even fooled a state tropper that stopped in his shop once and noticed that 2 cars parked next to each other had the same plate with the same validation sticker...until he got real close!

They went on a 32 5 window that he and his dad drag raced back in the 50's- currently has a Garlit's built flatty in it. Looks just like the American Graffiti car but they built theirs back in the 50's.
Also a 32 2 dr sedan that his father bought new.
Also a 32 cabriolet that is in Garlit's Museum..Yes they are best buds.
Also a 53 F100 flatty with a 5 speed.
Do you see where I am going.

You don't know until he blows you doors off...........................

hahaha.

My 'vanity' plate was $60.00 to purchase (includes the first year) and then is only $30.00 per year afterwards.
