Looks like I need the hoses for under the dash and dash inserts for a 65 Barracuda also.

I'd like a reasonably priced, NOS 71 Dart grill, close enough to IL that I can drive and pick it up since I can't get one shipped here without it getting broken. I know, good luck.

These arent impossible to find, just BLOODY expensive. I want a pair for my Duster too. Have you looked at the new TQ wheels SLT's? They make a 15x4, but I havent seen a pic of the skinnys yet. Posted about them on here a week ago no responses.

Found a pair of Fenton Gyro front runners yesterday, been looking for over a year. Not cheap, but will be on the way to me shortly.

Only one Fenton Gyro for sure - slots are small and narrow, lug pad is embossed slightly, only one ring around the outside diameter of the wheel which creates a deceivingly large, flat area. Nothing else looks even remotely like it. They're closest to the old Halibrand kidney bean gasser fronts.

Project is coming together.

Well, to me they look like Fenton Gyros NOT Halibrands, & all these guys that are out there snapping them up for "Gasser" builds (dont even get me started on this so called "gasser" bs, most of these guys wouldnt know a gasser if it ran them over) and the irony is, There are aluminum "peanut hole" halibrand re-pops out there that look WAY more like halis than the Fentons do. When I see Fentons I think early '70s SSer or Pro Stock, NOT mid-sixties gasser! Hell, the Fentons werent even AVAILABLE till '69!!

Thats why I was looking for a pic of the skinny TQ SLT's I want to see what they look like. As far as that goes, with American re-poping the ansens, why dont THEY re-pop the 15x4 ansens? They would probably seel more rears if they had a matching front runner in the catalog.

As far as that goes, why in the HELL doesnt Cragar do a re-pop of the 15x4 keystone Klassic, same deal, they would sell more of the rears if they did.

Well right, that's sort of what I was saying. You're absolutely correct - Fenton Gyro is definitely an early Pro Stock wheel. Never said Fentons look like the Halibrands, just closer in style than an Ansen slot because of the smaller windows. Douglas Glad put a set of those alumium Halibrands on the CC Rambler. Looks OK, not right for the car. Would have been better off with a set of Cragars. No one with a Rambler would have had Halibrand small kidneys back in the late '60s.

The TQ rims look like Ansens with the larger windows. To me, the Ansen slots are too fat. They look more like large window Halibrands.

I think they do. I know they were available for a while anyway, not too sure about now though and not up on what sizes are available.

DAMN those look GOOD Ramcharger! I NEED a pair for my duster! What are yours going on?

Stole that pic off a racing junk ad, but I got the same thing. I'll probably run a similar tire, either a BFG Silvertown or a Coker Pro Trac for a vintage look. They're going on my '71 Dart.

The Keystone re-pops are in 15x7 & 15x8 only. I want a set of 15x4 Keystones for the front of my '66 sattelite (I was thinking black steel on the back, kind of an RO-23 SSer circa '70-'71 look), but they are WAY harder to find than even the Gyros.

I had seen a pic of the wider TQs but not the narrow ones. I was HOPING they would look like the fentons, but realized they probably wouldn't.

Man those are gonna look TOUGH on your Dart! When I was a teenager, there was a brown Demon with Gyros on the front & the old small-block Hooker fenderwell a-body headers on it that looked KILLER. That was 30+ years ago, but that car STILL stands out in my mind. I would like to get the same look on the re-birth of my Duster. I was gonna use the 6.00x15 DS2 Moroso's on the front, not 100% period-correct, but lighter & cheaper than the Cokers.

I agree about the Rambler, those wheels look way wrong on it, either cragars or Fenton Gyros would look better.

On the subject of that circa '70-'71 SSer look, a buddy of mine is doing a '67 Fairlane that way, Cragar SS on the front, black steel on the back, its gonna get lace on the 427 hood, roof down the c-pillars & trunk. Moroso cable tach on the dash, It is gonna look KILLER.
I have a couple SW cable tachs here, have a tach-drive distributor for the 440 thats going in the b-body, but no tach drive dist. for the small-block I am putting in the Duster.

Sounds cool, would like to see pics of some of this stuff George. I sold a later tach-drive set up on Ebay last year. It was an Accel dual-point with a late '70s' - early '80s Moroso tach and bracket. I still have an earlier vintage one on my shelf with the square red and white logo on it.

I bought a set of skinny Cragars with original Stahl front runners on them at Carlisle a few years ago. They're just sitting in the garage under a tarp. They were off an old Road Runner Super Stocker, or at least that's what I was told when I bought them. They weigh next to nothing and are very tall.

Are these Fenton wheels? Mine are 15x3 1/2, bolt pattern is unilug, the plastic Apollo center caps are not correct, they were in them when I got them. The center caps do not screew on like the others I have seen, they push through. My rims only say "made in the USA" and "15x3 1/2", haven't removed the tires yet, there may be an old sticker between the beads.

They would say "Gyro Racing Wheel" on the inside. I'm no authority though, so they may very well be.

In any event, yours have the look, very cool.

I dont think those are Fentons, they look too dished across the face of the wheel. Since they arent Fentons, you should send them me, and I will dispose of them in a safe & enviromentally friendy manner. Theres no time to waste, do it right away. Since we are all friends here, I will even accept them frieght collect. Its the least I can do.<g>
 
Looking for a tan vynel spoked, wood covered grip, steering wheel. (No imitation wood) for my 66 Valiant Signet.

By the way, the friend I mentioned thats doing the Fairlane?? I showed him pics of your Valiant, he was blown away. LOVES your car.
 
SGBARRACUDA, on the Wife thing, good luck. I have gotten lucky, mine supports this and the Racing thing 100% as long as I keep her involved with finding stuff and putting it to good use. I landed a KEEPER this time. Lucky ME :)
