I did a burnout in front of my house with the Duster and wound it out to chirp second then got out of it. I turned around down the street and headed home. I was met by this guy in the street with a shovel in his hand. I stopped he opened the door and asked if I could obey the soeed limit. I apologized and said he is right. I have done maybe 3 or 4 bunouts in 12 years. I just got the urge. I also never speed up and down the street. Again just had an urge. Truth be known I probably was only about 5 to 10 over but, with the burnout and all it seemed much faster. The speed limit is 45 or 40. I don't blame him. 41 years old and still pissing off the public. I think Ill go listen to Nirvana live and drink some beer.

your neighbor will get over it, might have just been having a bad day....and have a few beers for me...

Offer to take him for a ride. Maybe you can make a friend.

must be a chevy or ford guy just kidding in all reality it is understandable y he is mad

if you think thats bad my neighbors recently complained to the cops about my working on my car in the open (i dont have a garage and i rent) now im being threatened with tickets towing and eviction and now have to find a new place to work on my car.

the up side: now its registered

the down sides (besides the obvious) i was about a weekend away from painting it.

this is why i hate living in the vicinity of other people. people in my town are so stuck up and worried about how they look to strangers that they passed a legislation saying that you cant have more than 1 unregistered vehicle on your property in the open i had 3 now that the scamp is registered i have two and again no garage which means i have to register and insure at least one of my other vehicles that i cant drive. sorry for the rant and if i hijacked the thread.

thats bull burnouts is one thing but thats crazy i love living in the country

Next time your neighbors ***** tell them you're going to sublet the house to a bunch of "crack heads". See how they like that.

i like that idea neighbor complained about the roof line so he had to spend tons of money to lower it he retaliated with this

i wish the landlord lives in like a three block radius. plus these people go right to the cops, they never even said anything to me, which is another thing that pissed me off, if they had talked to me i wouldve understood but since they just went behind my back i dont trust any of em any more, i wish i lived in the country.

i have had issues with mine too, but it was funny becuase throughout painting the car in my garage which ended up smelling so bad she left here house for the day and then building the car this old lady i have as a neighbor was super interested and excited about my dart and then one night i fired it up "straight headers" and then ever since she wont speak to me ahha.
Not sure what happend there, but best thing to do is be as nice as you can and just keep oil spillage to a minimum, i had some complaints when i pulled the motor out my the car in my front lawn too but luckely the lanlord didnt here haha.

Dam your 41 and doing that.. I'm 50 and still pull that kind of stunt. I think when it's in your blood, you'll enjoy it at any age:cheers:

And what a great idea, go listen to Nirvana AC,DC, Rush or whom ever and have a few beers.

Thanks Kieth, I don't do that stuff often at all. He's one of those neighbors that I never talk to. I've seen him at another neighbors party and was introduced but, can't remember his name. The thing that almost got me pissed about the whole thing is him waking out with his shovel in his hand. Now if he thought he was gonna wack my car or me, this might be quite a different posting.

wow that sucks all my neighbors have cars themselves and we all do burnouts and rate eachother hahaha

That's what I thought was gonna happen when I first read your post. A *WHACK* to the car. Glad it didn't turn out that way. Sometimes it sucks to have to be "nice" to the neighbours.

Yeah, I almost didn't stop for that reason. Turned out ok. I manned up and took my lunps but I think he's a grouchy prick. How can you not appreciate a71 Duster 340 with cragers. This car looks like it time warpped from th 70's. Must not be a car guy.

If you were to turn on to my street you'd see black marks all up and down it. The thing is, none of them are mine and I'm the only one with a muscle car on my street. All of the black marks are single traction burnouts. Mine has a suregrip. So, I was like the hell with it. If everyone-else is doing it, then so I'm I. I left two nice black marks in front of my house all the way to my neighbors. I hate my street anyway and I hope my neighbors didn't like it.:-D

Well as a home owner, I don't like it when people F around my block. Mainly kids with fart cans and stereos that go boom that piss me off. I bought a house to get away from it, but some of my neighbors are gear heads as well and if they burned out I don't care, as long as it was during the day and not all the time.

The whole issue of working on your car, or having your garage open is nonsense. Seems OK where I live, but I'm waiting for the day some Southern Californian transplant comes walking up... I've hear of neighborhood association where you can't have this, or drive that, or paint your house x color, that's BS. This is America, I bought a house to with it as I please.

That's how I am. I usually have some future organ doner on a crotch rocket doing 90plus or a rice burner with those stupid sounding mufflers trying to look cool flying down the street. Oh well no harm done. On beer number 3.
