Winter time model building thread.

My intention is not to steal anyone away from here but, I feel it could benefit the modelers here by getting in contact with others of the hobby, and perhaps be used as a loose guide how to setup something here. These are a bunch of VERY talented individuals and I'm sure they could be very helpful for those who are either looking for certain info, kits, parts, tips, etc....

The talent I see here is outstanding and what could it hurt by meeting others just as talented? :)

That site is a general automotive art site and you'd be surprised who you find on there! If you're also into drawing or anything of the automotive art genre...check it out.

*MODS* (If I have over-stepped any boundaries with this, please feel free to delete.)

Here's a profile shot of the Daytona. Also an original MPC Charger Daytona of Bobby Isaac. And Petty's 64 Plymouth.

So who is going to build me a model of my car?
I'd also like a Superbird junker...no time lately to do it myself plus I lost my place to create. You guys have made me want to get back into it again.

Here are some I have done in the past, the pics aren't so good though. I made the Daytona when I was a kid before they had a kit- the General Lee model already had the correct rear window:

Nice work! It looks like you should get back into it before you loose your touch. You do some very nice work:cheers:

Here's a couple different shots of the 67 Charger including a great engine shot for detail reference should anybody need it for their builds it even has the throttle return spring on the carbs, mires, fuel & brake lines etc.

Got my version of the General Lee done. Based on the Revell '69 Charger kit, using the AMT kit for decals and grille guard.

I bought another Revell kit and since I had the grille from the old General (original release) laying around I'll use the body, the grille, and the Revell kit as a Charger 500 build.

Anyway, here's my General.

I plan on weathering it later, when I have a few extra bucks to spend, with the Tamiya weathering "make-up" kits.

Damn, I need a new camera...
