Hey, good one!!.....I was gonna suggest the same car. A co-worker bought a Grand Nat'l in '87, got it stolen, and was then looking for another one around '89. He test drove an 25th Anniversary Turbo T/A, which of course has the same (somewhat) motor as a G.N. He told me "f*** that...that damn car is pure insanity!!" I keep hoping I could find one for cheap....like somebody or some dealer doesn't know what it is.

Ever take it in the quarter?

I took it to the strip when I first got it. 35k on it, bone stock, hot summer day, it ran 13.1 consistantly, and I never took it back.
I did some mods to it, and it is now like a fighter jet. I read once that the top speed is around 180, I believe it, the speedo goes to 140 and it keeps pulling.
Way ahead of its time in 89 and like no other machine. These turbo cars are crazy.

Just to clarify, it is the 20th Anniversary, I think they had a 25th, I know there is a 10th, a 15th, and a 30th.

It actually has the same engine as the GNX, with Pontiac heads, that flow better, and factory 'headers.' The TTA engine shares the GNX crank, ceramic prop turbo, etc.

I'd sell it now to finance my Mopar, but it needs paint so that would be financial suicide!

to tell you the truth, there is no car from 1991 i like. i like to think i was supposed to be born in the 50's...so a 55 Bel-Air. :D
Ever drive one of these?
You'll need a neck brace, or you will end up wearing one anyway.

Man I thought I was one the youngest people around. Good to see some people born in `88 `92 an such. Here´s my year born favorite car: 1989 Corvette.

Mine would be a 63 Dodge Polara Max Wedge, choiced out with the barely streetable 11 to 1 426 wedge and the T-85 three-speed stick. Preferably black with steelies/dog dishes or vintage, 5 spoke American Racing mags.

The Buick GN was starting to emerge as a musclecar- 1 year shy of the SFI.

I wanted one of these the first time I saw one, then found out it cost way too much to get one!

I was born in 81 so???? I cant say that there is a car from that year that I like.

WHAT!!!! You couldn't come up with anything?! As a fellow '81er I'm very disappointed. What's not to like about a car that can take you back to when real cars were made?
