I am sure this has been gone over a few times but I am having some troubles finding the threads.. What was your first car? Do you still have it? Mine was a 1970 AMC Ambassador, it had a 360 2bbl on it. Wish I didn't sell it..

'65 Corvair 500 2 door 110 4 speed, my brother gave it to me for christmas when i was 14. I'm 47 now.
I never did drive it on the road, and i do still have it!
I always thought they were cool no matter what anyone says!

1927 Model T 2 door sedan, I got it when I was about 5 years old from my dad. My dads best friend just got it from the guy that I traded it to when I was 13 and who know what he is going to do with it because he has a crapload of cars already.

1973 Vailant in 1987...I dont have the car anymore. Put a rod through the /6 block a few days after I got it. I still have the title..lol

My first car was my fish. It belonged to a family friend who stopped driving it in 1977 and it ended up sitting at our farm till he gave it to me when I turned 16 and needed a car for auto mechanics in high school.

My car back in 1970/early 71

The same car in the fall of 82 when I started to work on it.

Sept 1984 I tore it down to rebuild it, "so I thought" I was an 18 yr old know it all and didn't make sure I had all the parts I needed first so it sat for years while I gathered the parts needed. I did manage to work on it a little over the years though.

After dozens of other cars over the years I finally got around to finish it and got to drive it again last summer.

61 valiant 2 door.
bought it from my aunty when i was 15 for 125 bones. sold it for profit after about six months.

1970 Dart Custom four door, 225 slant w/ 67K, bought in March '93 for $500. I drove it pretty much every moment I was awake for a year and a half before blowing the engine. I had bought a '73 Dart for 100 bucks, which I drove for six months before blowing the tailshaft seal. (I was a maniac, apparently) Engine was swapped into the '70, and about a month later, I was T-boned. The remains of the '70 sat in the barn until my father was sick of sidling past it to get stovewood, then it was junked. I've been trying (without success) to find another solid, runnable A-body for 500 bucks ever since. Doesn't seem likely to happen.

my first was a 77 dodge tradesman van that my parents had for many years. my dad had installed bubble windows and a bay window in the 70s. it came complete with a bed in the back and orange and brown shag carpet.it had headers on a 318, chrome slotted wheels and sunroof. i miss the custom van scene from when i was a kid.oh and slantsick, dont give up on finding a solid a body for 500. thats a driver. i did just last summer, 4 door 6 cyl valiant in my avatar.

Yeah, thanks... frustrating, though- Maine's number one crop is rust.

Your first car was a van with a bed in the back? Man, your girlfriend's father musta loved you, huh?

Mine was my 73 'cuda. Bought it in '83 for $650 the way it is in the picture. I did have to put a tranny in it. Had it for about 6 months until it met with a fire hydrant and lost. Still kick myself for not fixing it.

That is very cool, would be a great car for a small block.

yeah, I always wanted to do that but... I sold it and replaced it with a 1950 4 door DeSoto.... more room for my 3 kids at the time!

I'm building an Anglia panel at the moment with my boys.
