So I don't have 2 nickles to rub together and so won't be able to paint the whole car for who knows how long.

Any ideas to spice up my look a little?

I am thinking 360 emblems on the back quarters....would love a dual scoop and do the black strip on the hood..but money again a problem.

Anyway...guess I am looking for ideas on the cheap....decals or painting I can do by hand etc...thanks all!

im not looking to take focus of the paint of my car but im in the same boat as far as wanting to add a little something to it...
When mine had real ratty paint I was gonna get the full superstock look with decals all over it but considering mines a street car I didnt want to overdo it and have to live up to it at every stop light if I wasnt in the mood, considering average good decals are expensive too its really not cost efficiant if you do a bunch.
Now my car has paint I still want to add a little somthing so im gonna go with the large dodge decals on each rear quarter. Just gotta find them cause I dont know who makes or sells them, those are always classy and timeless.
You could do decals and maby a good buff/wax too for the time being.
and also maby some stickers in the windows... just to discract from paint.

All and all to me,when I look at an old car i expect older paint.. Im actually more mind boggled seeing a 40 year old car with 1 year old paint haha.
I usually dont mind muscle cars that are not shiney

If you are looking for a visual change on a shoestring budget, I'd like to see the rear panel blacked (matte, semi-gloss, gloss ... I'm not sure) out as well as the grille (in order to balance out the front and rear). The two light colors on the car wash it out a little and some dark, bold color might break it up.

Also, I would like to see the pinstripe separating the top and bottom colors much bolder and wider (perhaps wider starting in the rear and tapering towards the front). On the front fenders, you could slightly break the stripe up and include a more subtle 360 engine designation (vs big ol' numbers on the rear quarters). Of course, the stripe would continue after the 360 call out (while tapering) towards the front. You might want to consider giving the 360 a slightly forward look (ie. slant) towards the front of the car. Just some thoughts working within your parameters.

I am with those guys....you could flat blk the hood, also you could put those cat eye covers on the head lights, they are fairly cheap at 20 bucks are so....

I like the wider pin strip idea and all the good ideas here. Who sells wider pinstripes locally. Pep Boys and Autozone all seem to have what's on there and nothing wider.

Hamesdart: Phoenix Grafix has the Dodge decals and the 360 decals.

Heres an idea, maybe? Keep in mind im not very good with the paint program on the computer.

That side stripe you laid out would look good with the blacked out tail panel and possibly blacked out hood and grille.

Take that black pinstripe and do the lower part of that line too. It will break up that large amount of yellow on the sides. That should be real cheap and less than 10.00 for the decal stripes.

Wow..I like the filled in black..what would be good to use for it? Spray paint? Awesome ideas guys!

What do you mean? Where exactly? ...."Take that black pinstripe and do the lower part of that line too. It will break up that large amount of yellow on the sides. That should be real cheap and less than 10.00 for the decal stripes."

get with challengergary he does some really nice aar stripes like that. i have them on my duster and since you don't know when you'll be able to paint the car it will definitely change the look of your color scheme now.

I would add a six pack hood and a side stripe or maybe a scat pack decal. Lower it 1" using blocks and cranking the t bars down. Tint the windows yourself and definitely redoe the grille!

First thing I would do is shake those rims for some 14" or 15" factory steel wheels,Plymouth Division dog dishes, and some BFG's white letter out. Or a set of Rallye Wheels.

This change alone will completely change the looks of this car.

Leave the paint the way it is.NO silly stripes please !!!
Just give it a nice coat of wax. Paint it when you get the cash.

Wheels and tires are the first thing I would focus on.

Before painting anything, get some masking tape, available in colors now, and play around with the ideas that have been mentioned. Also, you may be able to find black contact paper to do larger panels. I like the first aar style stripe, maybe have the 360 callout reversed in that.

I agree wheels and tires would change the looks alot but Not neccessarily cheap!

Depends what cheap is ? If he dont have 2 quarters it aint gonna work.

The op probably could find a set of steel wheels for around $50-$100.
Decent set of dog-dishes, lets say, $50-$100. Use the tires he has,and hes rolling.Rallyes will also set the car off. Maybe an extra $100 for a set.

I don't own a power polisher. Is there a product that will ship up my old yellow without killing me? Nu-Finish or something like that?

Thanks for all the help guys!
