I am looking at getting a stall converter for my 65 Valiant Signet that has a 904 in it. It is the lovely ball and trunnion one... Anyways, when I was speaking to Mancini Racing they asked if it is 19 or 24 input spline. Any thoughts as to what it is and as well suggestions to up the stall...

The earlier comment about getting the right year intake is correct. I bought my and discovered when I went to install it that the bolt hole angle was off. However, I did manage to use the old Dremel tool and fixed that problem. It worked 100% after.

I will probably take it out as a unit as I am now worried about the converter etc hooking up as the engine is a 69 and the trans is the original from 65 (ball and trunion)

I am switching out the old 273 for a rebuilt 318 in my 65 dart. Any comments as to easier to leave the tranny attached or removed during the swap out and back in?
