Yeah the 904 is really bad. Tried to suck the check balls through the valve body, rear servo piston was destroyed, and I believe the rear pump is shot. I’m going to an auto restoration school so really shouldn’t be that hard with the resources I have to do the 5 speed swap.
I would totally do 833 but I can’t find them anywhere! I also know that it will be really pricey to do the 833 conversion.
So the flywheel from the Dakota v6 will work on the 273?

Hey fabo! I'm looking to find an 8.25 rear end for my 65 barracuda. The current 7.25 is not happy with a transgo shift kit and a cammed 273. What years/cars would have the right size for my car? If anyone has one let me know

So here's what I found. Original starter that was rebuilt fried, new starter was bad, had it tested and watched fireworks... Got another one had them test and it was good... Battery was tested and was fine all connections were good too... Just didn't think a brand new starter would be bad...
1965 barracuda 273/904 console shift. I turn key to start it and I get a click at the starter relay and the starter but nothing else. Problem started about a week ago and I would be able to click a few times and it'd Fire right up. I put new battery cables in, new starter, new ignition switch...
