This car had undercoating from bumper to bumper, all fender wells and everything inbetween. I removed it from a tip from another member with a propane torch and a scraper. I have sanblasted it all clean and smooth. The blast will be ok for a while but I will need to seal it before long. I think...

I have just about removed all the undercoating from my 68 Cuda. The 64 thousand dollar question is, what should I use to recoat with. I don't want to replace it with more undercoating. I want to use something with a shine to it while maintain corrosion resistance, although when I'm done I can't...

Thanks a bunch, the propane torch and a scraper works great and is pretty fast also. The little it leaves behind will be easily sand blasted away. I removed more undercoating in an hour this evening than I had in weeks.

Mine is thin in places and ultra thick in others. Sand bounces off in most places. Aircraft paint remover softens it up and can be sraped off but that stuff will eat the hide off of you without proper skin protection. It wont be easy but I'll get it off.

Guys, I can only assume (bad word) that the 68 Cuda came undercoated from the factory. If id did or didn't I want to remove all of it. Any suggestions for removal. Artie Perilloux

Chief I always seem to get myself in trouble with my wild ideas especially when I have a few adult beverages. You're right, being different isn't always a plus. It's my fault, I just don't have the experience of confidence in the A-Body front suspension.

You guys are da s**t. Great parts on the sites. The particular one of interest was mounting front coil overs and do away with the torsion bars. How difficult will it be to reinforce the upper shock mounts on the A-body.

Somewhere I remember seeing a kit to move the rear leafs inward. I would like to put some fat tires on the 68 Cuda and the leafs are at least one obstacle in the way. Anyone know of such a kit? Artie Perilloux

C, any idea where they can be purchased?

New to Mopars and I am looking for the correct term for the bushings in the lower arms that the longitudal bars hook into on a 68 Cuda. I need to change them but I need to know what to look for first. Thanks, Artie Perilloux

Thanks Cudachick, I'll take a quick run across da river and check them out and visit a friend while on dat side of da river. By the way all I am trying to blast is the under carrige and the front k-member, no body parts.
