Those of you who have been running a polyurethane lower control arm bushings my question is how well have they held up? I'm building a circle track car and I'm trying to decide between polyurethane and rubber for the lowers.
I have a 360 with HV pump and stock pan and never had oil pressure problems.
I feel a 360 needs a HV pump because the main journals are bigger and I run full groove bearings.
A 273 with the smaller mains and 1/2 groove main bearings will probably be fine with a stock pump.
I put this distributor in a dodge van that had a 318 with electronic spark control. It started easier and ran much better. the electronic spark control would cause surging as it kept switching the advance back and forth. and would knock & ping when it went full advance.
