I bought Bf Goodrich Radial TA's to go on the Keystone Klassics on my 68 Barracuda (yeah no school like the old school) anyway no matter what I try I can't keep the letters white. I can GET them white with lacquer thinner but it seems to draw the oil out of the tires and within a couple days...
Just finished putting in a new Cope 904 in my 68 Barracuda w/ 318. It went well until I tried to install the brackets which go from the lower block to the bottom holes in the bell housing. There's no way I can see that they will work with the headers (Dougs). Any tips would be appreciated.
31 yrs of car painting says NO. It does not need to all be down to the bare metal. Most epoxies are made to go over bare metal but also paint. Don't "hose" your first coat put it on light as that could wrinkle the edges of old paint especially if there are several layers
Does anyone know anything about Sanderson Headers? They're a pretty mean looking unit for a shorty. They come up on Summit's website as an option for my '68 Barracuda w/318 but Sanderson lists them as '70 up E-bodies. Full headers are gonna drag, I'm afraid. Any other good options? Hedman Shorties??
Yeah, that's an option. 904's are getting rarer. Easy to find a parts changer, harder to find a knowledgeable rebuilder. Thought it might be easier to buy one from somebody who's already worked the bugs out through trial and error.
