[SOLD] Small Block Hydraulic Roller Cam

Herbert Cams Hydraulic Roller for small block Mopar. Cam has about 500 miles on it before I blew my 340 up by spinning some rod bearings. Only selling because I ended up stroking the 340 to a 418 and decided to go with a bigger cam overall. Cam ran great and had nice street performance to it...

    Help determining 340 cam

Appreciate the response... I had a feeling this was going to be way too much cam for my intended use. I'm debating putting in a Comp Cams Big Mutha Thumpr or just the regular Mutha Thumpr. I love the rough idle sound but I know people aren't too fond of them. Also looking at the Hughes "real"...

    Help determining 340 cam

Man you called it almost spot on... Pulled the cam out and this is what I found: Lunati 30200917 Lunati High Efficiency Camshafts | Summit Racing Now idk if I should keep this cam or get a different one so it's more streetable. I don't want to get tied down to a super high stall converter.

    Help determining 340 cam

Just to clarify you're saying .014 is a good reference point to set the valve lash... then adjust more less based on the idle? And that's a cold lash correct?

    Help determining 340 cam

Okay guys, be kind.... I'm new to engine building/tear down :) I recently picked up a 340 long block with 10:1 compression and I'm trying to figure out the camshaft to determine what torque converter to run... Before I purchase a dial indicator or remove the timing chain cover to determine the...

    340 Swap

Was a 71 Demon that a guy spent close to $40k building. Car was in a accident where it was hit on the driver side fender. He got the insurance for the car and decided to sell the car to my buddy. My buddy has been parting it out for awhile. I actually have the TTI exhaust (3 inch with X-pipe)...

    340 Swap

Oh really? That's disheartening.... I guess I'll need to measure the lift on the rockers?

    340 Swap

Sorry when I said taking the timing cover off I really meant take the timing chain off and see if I can see any markings on the cam shaft. Was also planning on doing head gaskets. I should have said that in my initial post. I'll correct it now :)

    340 Swap

Hey I'm actually in PA as well. I'm in Lansdale so that's about an hour and 30 min away. I might take you up on that. Send me a message and I'll give you a call. Hopefully I'll know more once I open the engine up a bit. I appreciate your help, I new to figuring out torque converters.

    340 Swap

I'm buying a 340 engine off a buddy that he's had sitting around for 10 years. The engine was fully rebuilt with less than 1000 miles on it before the car it was in was damaged in a fender-bender. I'm unsure of the cam, pistons, etc... All I know is that it has Edelbrock Performer RPM heads and...

    Upgraded 360 Cam?

So after looking around a bit I found this cam, which is probably pretty close to the 340 cam. Would this be more suited to my application? COMP Cams SK20-222-3 Xtreme Energy Camshaft Kit, Mopar 273/318/340/360
