Well thanks to everyone for the input. After a 650 mile roadtrip and a week of putting everything back together the old lady is back on the road again!
Before
During
After (Hood is not changed to 67 but i have it and will get it fixed and painted during the winter)
My bad. Probably want clear enough! It was year interchangeability i asked for. As for the headlight bucket on the 67 being different. Can anyone enlight me in the differences? Is it just the mountingpoints for the grill that differs? If so ill sort it out anyway. Or is it a must to change those...
Thx a lot for the answer! Now for my next question in the same matter. I found a 67 valiant thats being parted out. If i want to convert the frontend to a 67 what parts would i need to salvage from it. If i say Hood, grill, frontplate that house the indicators along with the centerpiece would...
Well i had an accident today! Long story short it wasnt my fault but i ended up with a smashed grill and bumper on my -72 valiant. So i seen fiberglass bumpers being sold as to fit 67-72. I have a guy that has the 69 bumpers ready to sell. Would that one fit my -72. Its only the front im talking...

First time out in the sun
Paint is home and the next weekend im off to a friends garage for paint. Also picked up 4 slotmags today. Just need some spacers for it. Cant wait to post some freshly painted pics :)
Well problem got solved. I forgot about this thread but thought i post back with the solution. At one point my car got fiberglass fenders and the person putting it on did ditch the adjustable rubber thingys. Hence why i didnt notice any. I made my own adjustable stops from a few nuts and bolts...
Well life got in the way as usual so i havnt got around to paint it yet. But now the paint is ordered atleast and hopefully within the next month or so its off to the garage for some work. I went for a 1960:s volvo original colour wich is called "graphite grey". Pics will come as soon as its on:)
Well i thought it was time to post a thread about the old junk :)
Its a 1972 valiant 225/904/8 3/4" that i got my hands on in 2009. Since then i been focusing on the mechanical and havnt really payed attention to the looks up until now. Been changing all the bad parts over the years that was...
Much appreciated. As i tought then the rearend is what it came with from the factory. Without saying your wrong about the brakes are you sure about the 2 1/2"? Or could it be that the same sheetcode reads different depending on if you have large or small boltpattern?
Well im almost certain my car is 100% original but i would like to have it confirmed. I got an 8 3/4 rear axle on it and any help is appreciated with confirming that with my buildsheet. Seems a bit over the top with that rear end on a stock slanty but im not complaining :D also i have the 10" x...
I found most of the info i need/want but i have som issues with a few codes. First of all its the axle. Second row where it says D8 I cant seem to find what the 3 is. Could only find D81, 82, 84 and 85 :/
Also on the brakes i couldnt find the rear size code for B24 as it says on mine.
Sorry...
