Is it just the chain I should upgrade or are the sprockets part of the upgrade as well?

Yes the kit does come in standard piston size and it does still have the factory cross hatch pattern on the cylinders.

Do i need to bore my engine to put a stroker kit in it is a used 2005 5.7. I measured the bores and they are all in spec still except 2 cylinders measured .002 over the 3.917 spec. Would it be fine with just new rings or do I really need to get it bored. Kinda dont wanna spend the money to...

I heard that you need to modify the timing cover to fit the 6.1 timing cover.

When upgrading a 5.7 to a 6.1 oil pump, does it still use the 5.7 timing chain and other components or do I need to use the 6.1 components?

Well finally got the cam and and no grooves or major wear on it. Still looks to be in good shape. However I found out why this engine was in the junkyard. Spun both 5 and 7 rod bearing to the point where 5 was completely gone and 7 was barely anything left to pull out. Needless to say...
