I did this on my 1969 Dart and they work really well.
I tried a semi metallic pad on my Kelsey Hayes discs, I was not happy with the stopping performance. On the advice from (legendary member) sgbarracuda, I switched to Bendix SBC11 ceramic pads. Made a big difference for me. Stops like discs should now.
