I'm still keen on getting a manual, either 3 or 4 speed, for my duster but I'm pretty sure that buying another car of comparable condition that already has a manual in it is as cheap or cheaper than gathering all the parts needed to do the swap.
What happens if I find a v8 duster with a manual...
Ordered a new one. Honestly, if I have any reason to replace something in this car I will. A lot of this stuff is pretty old and tired but I don't have the budget to rip everything out. Doing it first-come-first-serve.

I've gotten a message from a guy with everything but the bracket plate. Think I could work it out with you and him and get a complete one.
See, thing is, what I got earlier is a 72-73 bracket and kick down and it doesn't have the right mount. I need the 74 bracket for sure but I also need the springs and clips for holding it together.

Ordered a new ballast resistor. I looked into it and it sounds like this is a textbook example of what happens when they go bad. In a few days I'll have it in the car and we'll see how she goes. Stay tuned. . .
The complete throttle linkage with the kick-down for the transmission for a 1974 slant six and more specifically one used with a Holley 1920. I got one from a fellow here but it was for a different year and doesn't fit.
