I have a 22 Ram 1500 quad cab with a 5.7 & 2wd. Mine has a towing capacity of 11,590lbs, with a 3.92 rear gear. Trucks with the 3.21 have less capacity so if you’re looking at a specific truck, you need to check which rear axel is has if you want to tow 10k.

This might sound stupid but, your not putting too much fluid in it are you? It does naturally expand when hot and too much could force it out the cap.

I disagree with the sucking air from the high pressure side theory. Remember that the pump pushes into the hp hose and sucks from the l.p. hose. If you have an air leak it would more likely be in the low pressure hose. Also, a leak in the hp hose would squirt out of that hole like a fountain.
