    T5 WC behind a 340

This is not the right pilot bushing. The ford V8 T5 takes a .670 shaft diameter bushing, and one has a a .751 shaft diameter hole. I am working on fixing a car with this conversion and need to find the proper bushing.

[FOR SALE] Two big block 400's

Selling a pair of 400's. Both are 4 brl motors and pretty complete. Both engine were stored in a barn for 25+ years. 1976 400 - had water in two cylinders, but is standard bore. It will probably need to go 60 over because of those two cylinders. It obviously got in through the carb, as...

    340 and 360 block ID

Stay away from blocks that are rusted from sitting in the weather for years. The machine work to correct all the issues caused by the rust is far more than just getting a good block to start with.

    Piston height question w/x-heads

They should work fine. X heads have zero quench area, and the factory 10.5:1 compression pistons are above the deck about the same amount with the factory shim gaskets (around 0.015)which are much thinner than the common felpro replacement gaskets (around 0.038 to 0.042).

If you have access to a tubing bender and MIG welder, you can make it yourself using 0.134" wall DOM mild steel tubing. Get a NHRA rulebook and follow it religiously for where the cage has to go and how it has to be configured. By making it yourself you can make it fit perfect. The S&W...

    a-230

The A-230 is a light duty trans. Junk. There is an A-250 that is a "medium" duty trans and is tougher transmission. Bother are Three speeds. I have an A-250 at home sitting under the bench. None of the transmissions listed except the 833OD will help with your RPM at 85mph since they all...
