    trunk trim restoration

My trim was pretty beat up... well really beat. It was near 1800 and a few weeks at the shop. I feel I could have shopped around for another but as the car has sentimental value I just used the part it was born with. Cheers.

What's your story with your Mopar?

My brother had the car in high school (1991-93). He had purchased the car and didn’t do much to it but ran the crap out of it. He loved the car. Finally blew the original motor and the car sat the summer after school and before college. He sold the car after being told by mom it had to go. He...

    trunk trim restoration

I brought mine to Kings of Trim in Pacoima CA. Mine was hammered from my brother backing into something years ago right at the emblem. Hard enough to put a very sizable dent in the deck lid. When restoring the car I debated throwing the molding away and just painting the deck lid..... I’m very...

    1967 Dart GT Chonicals

Been quite some time since my last update... a long while actually. I’ve had a second car in the works and it’s on the road now. Got back on the Dodge... and only someone a little wacky would pull out a perfectly good running engine to paint the engine bay. I had done the engine and hadn’t...

67 Dart 2 door hardtop rear window info

I have a 67 and it has a 68-69 style molding and seal in the rear from the factory. I got the new seal from Classic Industires. I also converted the front to the 68 style. Was very easy to do. The one thing I can say is you may need to do a little body work on the window frame in the lower...

    1967 Dart GT Chonicals

Thanks! The floor would just need to be lifted out to get it the spare tire well. I’m still looking for a compact spare that would work with my tire setup. For now, here in Cali, I have AAA roadside service that will tow me 100 miles if needed. The car has some special features for sure. I...

    1967 Dart GT Chonicals

It’s been a while since my last post. I had worked on a package tray for the audio system the last few days. Came out pretty well for my first French seam attempt. Not perfect, but works for me. Also, I followed the seams from the rear seat through to the tray to one, break it up and two, look...

    1967 Dart GT Chonicals

Been working on the car a bit, but have been busy with work, so I’ve slowed down a bit. We made it to the Inland Mopars Show this last Sunday in Riverside. Lots of questions and inquiries about what I had done with the car. Great company, cars and venue. Looking at the trunk panels I made...

    1967 Dart GT Chonicals

Got materials this last week to finish the trunk panels. Little bit of padding, carpet, leather and time. Weather was good and made lots of progress. Have some black paint to add to clean up the trunk edges and striker. Also need to make my brackets for behind the panels so they stay put...

Anyone done Under Dash A/C ?

I’m about a 1/4-1/2 inch front the bump stops using 1.03 bars and Hotchkis TVS system up front. I’m lowered as well but only a 205 tire. That said I have plenty of room for turning and such. I did a complete Gen IV setup. Heater and AC in one. The firewall has aluminum plates covering the...

Anyone done Under Dash A/C ?

Though I didn’t do an under dash unit, I did add a Vintage Air Gen IV to my car. It’s an original ac car I didn’t have any parts for. I used twomof the bulk heads and ran the hoses under the fender. I have heard the under dash units are great and get cold. I just wanted the heater function too...

    1967 Dart GT Chonicals

Been working on the car a bit. Had a power steering leak at the box valve. That was remedied with help from the forum. Thanks!!! Made it down to the Spring Fling as the real maiden voyage with the air conditioning. It did really well. Nice to see the diversity of all the cars there. Also...

Power steering gear box valve leak

Questions for the group, My 1967 Dart power steering box is leaking between the box and valve. I’ve researched here, and found that it’s probably a couple o-rings gone bad. Seems as though it’s a common issue or so. Question is... when I take the valve off, are there springs or valves that...
