    Rocker's 1973 Duster "Clara"

Still alive. Car is in final primer, and things are moving along nicely. I have been updating a FB page I made dedicated to the restoration of my Duster that I keep current. I will eventually get this build thread caught up, but in the meantime feel free to follow along...

Modifying Auto on the Column Steering Collars - NO Welding Required!!

I used krylon "textured" semi flat black, and it came out bitchen! The texture is just enough imho. Jus to add my 2 cents, my column is also modified in the same manner that this thread describes. I cheated though and bought it from another member who did the work.

Hey bro, That is the "anti rattle" spring for the accelerator pedal. I'll post a pic from the manual in a few.

The Tangerine Machine; '75 Dart Sport

IMHO I don't think the car needs the wing. I think the Dart sport trim finishes it off nicely.

Dude, I think it is looking badass! I was re-reading through your thread, and wanted to address the black engine bay. I know a lot of people are not fans of the "blacked out" engine bay, but with the color combo you did on the engine, it really showcases it under there! I am jealous of how well...

Dude, issues aside it looks killer! I understand how discouraging little setbacks like that can be. Quick fix man! I am looking forward to the final product!

A little more to update... I got the clutch pedal assembly together. I still need to install the clutch safety switch, but for the most part it is done. Now the fun stuff. I installed the shift linkage which was pleasantly easy to do. I just read the service manually thoroughly...

Looking good man! Yeah isn't that steering coupler a fun mess. I spent more time cleaning the housing up afterwards LOL.

Unless you are set on factory colors, you could always do just the steering column in red, break up the black a bit and tie in the body color to the interior? Just a thought...Either way man, your buildup has been part of the inspiration for me to get my butt back into gear, so please keep it up!

    Rocker's 1973 Duster "Clara"

Thanks man! My goal is to prep all of these completed components so once the car comes back, I can drop it down onto the engine/trans/K frame combo as we roll it back into the garage.

Hey Sireland. I am planning to assemble it after paint. The car leaves to be painted in November. I am trying to do as many things as possible in the meantime to keep me busy. Bigger items like the rear end I am planning to do once the car goes for paint. That way I will have a ton of room in...
