    Holley 1920 VS Carter BBS

Hello all, This all sounds soo familiar. I bought a Holley 1920 from Rock Auto last July, installed it, ran awesome, no adjustments needed and fired right up, ideled, etc for about 2-3 weeks then the front bowel started leaking. I did the normal fixes but still leaks. Then...... the idle got...

    Small block mini starter

Thanks as well DartGTDan. Two great solutions. I'll give one a try and if that does not work - I'll try the other but either way, I'll make sure to update the post incase anyone else tries what I'm doing. I mean- although this site is for A Bodies- who of us does not have another type body style...

    Small block mini starter

Perfect. Thanks so much 67cuda360. I think your suggestion is the smartest at this point. I have the hedders, will order the starter and if everything visually looks good then I'll dig into the fun part of dismantling the stock exhaust.

    Small block mini starter

Morning/Good Day All, Looks like this thread has been dormant for a bit but I do have a question regarding the mini starter-vs- stock. I do have a 67 Dart ( Slant 6) but also am a C Body guy and have a 72 Fury wagon with 360 I am trying to add Sanderson hedders to. All looks good on one side...

worked on the 65 dart cruiser today.

jw97neon, Thanks for pointing out that Rocket makes a wheel similar to the Cragar Eliminator. You are spot on! I checked out the Rocket website and wow- the STRIKE style wheel is dam close. They even have 15" sizes up to 10" widths which is perfect for me for I'm looking for a 15" wide wheel...

    1968 Dodge Dart

Hey there - I dig the lowered look. So- I'm curious- where did you get the drop spindles and what size rims/tires you running up front? I have a 67 Dart, not as beefy as yours( I still have the Slant plus a Super Six in the garage) but have swapped the stock rear for a 8 3/4, 323, converted the...

67 Dart 83/4 rear w/B Body Drums-69 Sport Satellite 11” what are the correct Brake shoes to use?

Yea- when I measure the shows from edge to edge they measure 10.5" so I'm thinking maybe the 11x2.5 shoes like 5.7 Hemi suggested as a easy starting point since I have my axles all bolted/sealed up but I do appreciate your detailed explanation and all the help. I'll score a pair of the 11" pads...

67 Dart 83/4 rear w/B Body Drums-69 Sport Satellite 11” what are the correct Brake shoes to use?

Sorry for not being clear when I say they are not working. When test fitted- the shoes seem to be too long. They do not fit inside the drum length-wise. Width-wise- they are fine( they are 2.5" shoes). 5.7 Hemi- thanks- will give it a shot and 72 bluNblu- WOW- thanks for the detailed...

67 Dart 83/4 rear w/B Body Drums-69 Sport Satellite 11” what are the correct Brake shoes to use?

So- my dilemma is I have a 67 Dart of which I’ve swapped the 7” rear for a 8 ¾ 323 A Body rear. I also swapped the small bolt pattern 4” axles to 4.5” Moser axles but in reading a few articles & I also learned this the hard way- I needed a set of matching “B” Body Backing Plates and Drums so I...

    67, 68, 69 Dart Bumpers (Front&Rear)- Do they interchange?

Nice. Thanks to both of you guys. I do appreciate it.

    67, 68, 69 Dart Bumpers (Front&Rear)- Do they interchange?

So- I have a 67 Dart & but can't always find bumpers for a 67 so my thought is grab a set from a 68 or 69 and they will work but I am not 100% sure. Can someone clue me in to as if this idea will work. I do understand they might not have the reverse lights in the same place, etc but that's not...

67 Dart, 7" for 8 3/4 Rear swap- Driveshaft alterations-

Nice. Thanks. I actually checked when I went home and it looks as if my current shaft is just about 2.25" too long so that does make sense. My current tranny is a 904 -vs- the 727/833 listed above but I do have a guy who has a bunch of old shafts so I'm going to take mine to him, compare some of...

67 Dart, 7" for 8 3/4 Rear swap- Driveshaft alterations-

Thanks for the feedback guys. 72bluNblu- good to hear back from you :-) Yea- I thought it might have been my drive shaft was not all the way in and so I pulled it out, cleaned it a bit more, put it back in and is still too long so I'll get under to measure but 1/75-2.25" sounds about right. Say-...

67 Dart, 7" for 8 3/4 Rear swap- Driveshaft alterations-

-So I have a stock 67 Dart, 225 Slant Six Automatic Transmission. I recently pulled out my stock 7" rear and put in a 8 3/4 "A" Body rear w/ 323 gears, big bolt Moser axles and so although I thought this would be a simple swap but soon realized my stock driveshaft is a bit too long. If anyone...
