    VFN makes both bolt on and pin on hoods. My pin on Valiant hood is only 12 lbs. Im sure the bolt on hoods are much heavier with all the extra support for the hinges. Nice Duster.

    VFN made the hood for my Valiant and added the six pack scoop. For a race weight pin on hood, this has held up to over twenty years of racing and some hard street miles.

    The Valiant has a 360 LA with a 833 four speed from a '71 Challenger and a 8.75 with 4.56 gears. The best ET to date is 12.20 @ 112. The coupe was running 11.9 before a cam upgrade, but hasn't been to the track.

    Here is the 1937 Dodge coupe Dad and I built. It features a '57 392 Hemi and a 727 Torqueflite from a Duster, a 8.75 from a 68 Fury. The grill is '37 plymouth. The Valiant is ours too.

    No firewall mods needed, until I swapped to a scatter shield from a stock bellhousing, then I had to flatten the pinch weld for clearance.     At full lock left there is contact. I put a steering stop bolt on the lower control arm.

    The fronts are 26 7.50x15 MT sportsman.The hood was made by VFN fiberglass. They added the six pack scoop. Here is a couple more pictures.

    My street strip 66 valiant. Its powered by an iron headed 360 with a hydrolic cam. Drivetrain is an 883- 4 speed and a 4.56 8 3/4 rear. Best run to date is 12.22 @110
