Glass up a set yourself, it's really easy. Just be willing to "hack" an original set. If you were closer I would gladly assist in showing you how, I like working with 'glass.

Kinda looks like a Ford Ranger step side, the body lines on the flare/tub at the rocker very much are reminiscent of a late 80's-early 90's Ford. I'm not saying it isn't an original or original dealer add on, I'm just saying I don't recall this ever on a Dakota nor does it appear to look like...

BUT..... For handling purposes this allows more weight in the center of the vehicle. This moves some unsprung weight, and items weighted at 50% unsprung weight back 1-2" and by doing so transfers sprung weight forward offering better front to rear balance. This is slight, but any amount helps...
