how many miles are on the engine? i have a 66' 273 .450 .455 lift cam with no engine mods and original springs. Runs like a champ.

I have a 1966 dodge dart GT all origional 273,904,7 1/4 it runs factory 4bbl manifold. I want to put the largest cam possible without changing heads,valves,springs you get the picture. Its for fun only. HELP ME OUT! don,t care about how bad gas prices want that nasty,nasty,lope...

remove all exhaust studs so its off the lt manifold use a wobble and 3 in ext for top starter nut barley jack up back of the engine like 1/2 pump use a person with small hands twist the starter bendix down and out to driver side it will be tight but will come out takes an hour out and in.

1966 dart 273 2v tried it all electronic distributer, electronic ignition, and voltage regulator, alternator 78amp..was the biggest in stock, 2 new batteries, cleaned all grounds and the bulk head. bypassed gauge voltage starts at 13.5 and drops to 12.5ish in less than one minute ..any other...

by the way what is the black wire runnig up the bell housing with the spade stile conector dont look like it goes anywhere

ok timings good runs great drives for about 10 minutes, idles down and dies but starts right back up you guys are great please continue to help me get this car back on the road where it belongs THANKS FOR EVERYTHING
