What do you think about doing a rebuild on a 1404 edelbrock vs a q-jet?

Nothing is puking out of the radiator, and my oil pressure at idle is 15ish psi @ temp. I don't know if the gauges are reading right. But I do want to run a different oil blend- what would be a great or better blend being that I live in Utah which this Duster is a highway and almost daily...

Running without a thermostat will not give your radiator a fighting chance to cool down the fluid you have in it. Try running a 160 stat before you try running nothing. Make sure you run a water/coolant mix ,the water with help activate the coolant.
