Powerblock TV saw to it that Mopar fans got slapped in the face when they had their host ask an exec of this movie what the most difficult part of creating the 1965 duplicate Chrysler Imperials for the movie was. His response = Getting rid of everything Chrysler and replacing with 502 GM crate motors,turbo400 trans.and Moser 9inch rears.Apparently they did this to 19 cars. How dedicated to being a complete moron and LOSER can one individual be?? Maybe they should've used monkeys for the main characters, after all, IT WOULD'VE MADE IT EASIER TO WORK ON!!! I'm hoping this wil make every Mopar guy's (or girl's) blood boil and THIS SUCKER WILL FLOP BY BEING BOYCOTTED!!! Make this idiot lose money and maybe he'll think twice before doing this crap again. What a complete slap in the face given us by Hollywood and a shame to the memory of something Bruce Lee was remembered for.

i would have to concour, what sucks is (other than gutting the imperials) seth rogan is fairly funny, he's been in some good movies, also, speaking of Power Block, where the hell can i find a aluminum headed small block 360 for 475 bucks? Christ, at that price ill take a dozen! All the go fast goodies in that thing, crap, i have about the same thing in my big block, and i can guarantee, you wont get that thing for 475 dollars, the only way that would happen is if you pry it out of my cold dead fingers!

Sorry Joey for the rant , but this just bakes my cookies!

Hell with that attitude we would stay away from the dragstrips also because they dare to put Ford and Chevy bodies on Mopar Hemi drag cars. I am sure that will fix them for running Mopar engines and not the bodies. lol

I just about puked when I saw the Green Hornet debacle as well. I wanted to jump into the screen and ***** slap the guy who made the comment about using garbage motors parts. :bootysha:

Right on Bcuda, a complete hot rodded block for that price gimme a break, loved how they did get almost 500 hp out of it, amazing huh and it wasn't a 350 Chevy.

About the movie could they have picked a sorrier person to be the Green Hornet, I mean Seth Rogan is barely funny, and not an action guy. I won;t be seeing or renting it for sure.

dont they wreck these cars and destroy them?
Wish they pulled a new "Vanishing Point" and wrecked a Camaro in place of the Challenger at the end..they couldnt even get the rims right in that last take. In another take, would you like to see vintage big block being bashed around, or generic off the shelf GM?

I think the most horrible part is the fact that the smash and crush every single one almost. :angry7: Definately not paying to see this movie whatsoever

There's absolutely ZERO originality these days , especially when it comes to movies !
How many botched , bastardised "remakes" can these entertainment industry pimple brains make ???????

Aside from the whole Imperial deal , that movie just looks dumb anyhow . And besides , what's the 'Hornet doing at a fast food drive-thru anyhow ? Maybe it should've been called "Obese Hornet" ...

What block did they use?

Well, it only makes sense. If you're going to ruin that many cars you need to use disposable engines and components. Besides, they probably don't have anyone on staff smart enough to work on a 413 or other Mopar engine anyway.

500 stroker--- it was a 020 standard 360 block, with what looked to be either KB pistola's, or maybe sealed power, not sure, but it have good rods , a huge cam, aluminum edelbrock heads, air gap, looked like a 750 race demon, and the reason it did make 500 hp, is because they didnt **** with it! Let em screw with the chevy's and ford's, cause whoever built that mopar, had his **** together! Although they did have to swap out the carb to an Avenger, so appease the sponsors, otherwise it would have made more power with that demon!

Hopefully they will destroy more Superbirds in upcoming movies as well. NOT!
Why does Hollywood take vehicles which can't be replaced and destroy them in the movies??

One better Howard, Why are they making this movie in the first place? Like it was said earlier these sad remakes of 60 tv shows are really lame. I mean they remade True Grit, TRUE Fing GRIT hello only one John Wayne.

No problem, I heard about the BBC engines & so forth a couple of months ago, and decided I wouldn't walk across the street to see it if it was free. Pure BS

Cause they think its "cool" and the majority of the viewing audience doesn't know a chevy nova from a ford mustang. And the majority of the people who do, like Chevy. So their major audience who actually knows anything about cars will say "Oh, well, atleast it was a 4 door useless old junky hulk anyway. Atleast it wasnt a brand new Camaro, that woulda been horrible to watch":angry7:. You have to get the fact is, most people nowadays are so ignorantly set that anything older than 1990 is a complete and total piece of junk. I met a guy with a '69 Runner a couple months ago down here and a lady walks up while we were talking and the only questions she has to ask are "What year is that car?" and "Oh, why haven't you scrapped it yet? Any car older than 10 years old is a piece of junk." Its like people forget these cars are classic. Unless they are a Camaro, Mustang, or Corvette. No one seems to know what they are unless they are a car person.

well,we can only hope that when they junked the bodies, they did the same with the generic junk engines.That.d be a win for Mopar loyalists. About the 360 build, they could've sold the aluminum heads, put on good cast ones, suchas the RHS version and pocketed some bucks. As it's been well said,"I'd take a dozen of'em" Dream on about buying that thing for 475
