620Hp small block

When heads are more than the entire long block, thats when you know when you are capable of making serious HP. I think their valvetrain was more than my motor!

The short block that ran the numbers in my sig was nothing more than a $1000 MP high compression shortblock. Cast crank, stock rods and hyper pistons.

Now the heads and induction system on the other hand is a different story. There is twice that amount in carbs and intake alone. lol

Was running 20/50 VR1 in our 408 and oil pressure was at 75# idling.....and up to 100#......took Brian's advice, switched to 10/30 VR1 and now it idles at 65# and up to 85# once warmed up......the biggest noticeable change was no rattling upon cold start-up and instant oil pressure.....Thanks Brian

Good deal. Now drop down to 5w/20 and that should be perfect!!! I've seen 85lbs. and hyd. lifters pump up at 5500rpm! Plus you'll pick up a fair amount of power once again.
