This is how I found her. Spent 10 years in different states of cover/uncover

Dropped a battery in her to check the electronics

Running lights work

She was hit and repaired at some point in her life

It looks worse than it really is. Its just surface...I'm going to wire wheel/POR-15 it

Good to see another '67 being rescued. Tell us more about your plans for the Valiant.

Those pics were taken a couple weeks ago. Here are more current pics

Tore the nasty interior out. A litter of kittens died in there, and cats have been peeing in there for a while. NO drivers side door glass, and the regulators are out of the drivers door, and rear quarter glass

Floor pan isnt the WORST I've seen :violent1:

68 taillights I'm going to rig in there, so I don't have to ride around with busted 67 lights. I LOVE the 67 lights though

Short term plan...

get the cancer fixed. There is obviously some on the floor pan, and there is a tiny spot behind the passenger rear tire, and a couple of ugly spots on the rockers where the door jamb meets the rocker.

Get the 170 running again. I bought it to turn it into a gas sipper, BUT I am building a 360 .30" over, flat top pistons, .484" lift cam, blah blah blah, for the red truck, so the 318 (stock minus 360 cam, 4bbl intake, qjet carb) from IT will be put into the 67, hopefully mated to an A833 OD trans, with a 8 3/4 rear. Its a light car, so a 318 shouldn't use as much gas as it does pulling my 72 d100 around

Get glass to put in it, get windows rolling up/down, so that after the cancer is fixed, I can put in a new interior (LONG WAYS AWAY LOL) and keep the critters OUT

Get the paint looking decent again, by touching up scratches, rust. I'm not looking for a show car, but something that looks good washed. I'm thinking B5 blue, with a black interior...I'm still deciding that over a silver, with a black interior :-k

Good luck. Almost finished fixing the floors on my 65 Dart currently, which is my first time at that. It takes whatever it takes, I just focus on doing it right. That passenger floor repair looks a bit hacked, but as long as it has spot welds to the frame it should be OK, and the carpet hides all.

I DIDN"T do that repair lol..its what I found when I pulled the carpet...Next paycheck is a set of floorpans. This pan will have ALL the cancer cut out, and replaced with new material :D

And yes it will be welded in, and spot welded to the right spots. I have a weird schedule, and the car isn't here at my house, so I only get to work on the car maybe 3 days a month :wack:

next time, the dash is coming out, so I can sand blast the inside, and check the condition of the cowl. I had a dodge truck that rusted there, and now I'm paranoid about it hahaha

Looks solid. Looking forward to see what you do with it!

I will have an extra drivers door glass and regulator if you still need one. 68 tail lights are not a direct fit but Im sure its doable. Been there tried that.

I may have a very nice complete 67 grille for sale soon if you would be interested.

PM sent, and yeah, I found out the taillights wont fit :banghead:

my mistake though haha. I'll make them work some way :D

Not a HUGE update, but any progress is good progress. I saw these for sale on another forum, and had to buy them. The project is a FAR way away from needing them, but they are original, and in excellent condition, besides the dents from a mirror on the one. That is getting installed UP so its not visible :happy2: (sorry about the crappy iPhone pic)

I want to do my own upholstery, so first "free" lesson was the blue visor:

Next I am going to do the tan visor. I want to get some skills before I attempt the seats. The only thing I won't be doing, is the carpet, or headliner. I'm buying those premade if I can

not much of an update. I got hurt during a physical endurance test for the union. Quit one job because I had another guaranteed, except my back and sciatica had other plans....

But, I did get used tires for the car. I had to move the car from its spot so they could get their big shop truck herc (herckimer sp?) out of his spot...

Old tires

Cant tell the new ones are on though. I had to drive to every shop in town looking for 13's....finaly got 2 mismatching ones, but they hold air and allowed me to move the car:

So, no REAL progress...crappy used tires, and moved her a few feet...I had to get tires so that the car doesn't look AS bad if code enforcement wants to give me crap......once all the CRAP in my driveway that does not belong to me is OUT, I can bring her home :blob:

I did mention this was going to be a SLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWW project, right?????

Seatbelt's latched.Waiting ,for the Purple Shafted 360's rump.(lol.) Clean find,best of luck.

Nice bore/ hone. You did your homework. Will work well ,with the .484.

Nice starter car. It once too me 10 years to sort of complete 1 but it did eventually run & move under it's own power :)
