Changing from rallyes to steelies on my Cuda & finally finished detailing my dog dish caps. Slightly different than factory with just center outer ring in black but think they turned out well. These are first draft so to speak so opinions of how they look, what you would change appreciated. Thanks

They look great all the way from Iowa. LOL tmm

Thanks guys & yours look great kielbasavw. Going with 14 x 4.5 inch steelies on front & 14 x 5.5 incher's on back with 185 70 tires on front & 215 60 drag radials on rear for nostalgia F stock look. Now struggling with keeping steelies black or painting white to match body color.

We would like pics on the car for a better look. They should look good but we do like lots a pics.

Absolutely. Hopefully will complete dry run of swap this weekend, and will probably mock up one body color wheel for comparison with black wheels also. Here are some pics of rear steelies (with out caps) put on my valiant for test & tune couple of weeks ago, mocked up wheel with cap for fronts and how my cuda currently looks with rallyes. Starting to think body color on steelies may be way to go.

I would've put a lot more time into scratch removal and buffing first but I'm just anal like that and already have all the equipment and tools to do it. :-D The paint job looks great though! Nice work.

Looks very nice!
I know you are looking for some input so how is this:
I might paint the center circle argent, you can get it at any Chrysler dealer in a spray can. And I would prefer white/body color for contrast - if the rim is black it is hard to tell where the tire ends and the wheel rim begins.

I did Leanna & they look better in person, light in picture just sucks. Thanks & sending you a pm for help.

Agree. Going to leave them black at first and put on my Valiant as trial run for upcoming toys for tot's show.

Thanks for input guys & happy thanksgiving.

Your PM box is full Leanna so thanks in advance. (almost put your box is full & thought better of it. lol).

"Hey Leanna. Any professional advice you can give me on polishing stainless parts. Have been using fine steel wool then polish with mixed results. Appreciate your help."

LOL Bruce! In light of Revhendo's video yesterday, that tied in perfectly. For what it's worth, I have to clean out the box all the time. The PM box of course. :-D

This is about the best online advice I can give you short of showing up with my buffer and taking you to polishing school. :-D The main thing to remember is that it's metal ... you can't really hurt it, and if you do then you can fix it too.

Swapped out wheels & put dog dishes on my valiant today. Was ready for different look on both cars & think the steelies in black with caps look pretty cool on valiant so may leave em on her instead of using on my cuda. Pics kinda suck under carport but will get full car pics when she gets cleaned up for show next weekend. Thanks to all for suggestions and input.

Looks great!! When I did the ones on my 66 I used a bottle of touchup paint in body color for the blue, and for the red I used the same red as the motor, which is as close to factory as I could find. I also used the red for the relief on the Commando emblems and the rear shocks for a little tie in there!!

After seeing yours, I believe I may go back and touch mine up also. Your cars are beautiful by the way. I really like that little Valiant!! Geof
