I am going to start a movie rating thread. Are the critics ever right anyway?Watch a movie any movie on TV,rented,or at the theater.Give the rating a 1-5 star rating and any other feedback you wish.

I will start with Django unchained Alot of action and this movie will keep your attention through out the whole movie. No real nudity but strong langage.A great movie...

5 stars

Lincoln...I don't think this movie is for everyone,I think some will be board out of their minds watching this movie. But I really enjoyed the movie. Not a Civil war fighting movie but about Lincoln trying to pass the 13th admendment before the war ends.I think Daniel Day Lewis played the best Lincoln ever, really great performance.

4 stars

Promised land....I expected alot more drama from this movie. The movie was OK but nothing great.
2 Stars

You need a lot more than 5 stars. More like neg 5 up to zero and on to plus 10 or 15

Some movies are so bad that the Pink Panther cartoons at the end are better entertainment.

"The man who shot Liberty Valence", 1962, BW, John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart.

But it has a long list of recognizable actors

Vera Miles, Lee Marvin, Andy Devine, John Carridine, Denver Pyle, and Lee Van Cleef just to name a few

A very simple set, combined with the intense closeness of a small town, narrow streets, and indoor scenes, gives you the vision that "you are" right there. This was an age of acting, not special effects.

I give it at least a 10

Boondock Saints- 5 on 5 (or per 67Dart273, 15 out of 10).

Great movie if you're frustrated with crime/corruption. Opens the mind to other possibilities. I don't want to give anything away. It's definitely over-the-top, but I believe that was intended.

Nothing new to report on, but Amy and I watched three rented movies this weekend.

'Ted': typical Seth McFarlane fare...Lots of 'Family Guy' type humor. Worth a few laughs, but fairly garden-variety low-brow humor. Least favorite of the weekend. 3/5.

'Real Steel': think 'Rocky' meets 'Over the Top'...Plus robots. Fun. Good special effects. Made me wonder why they only used robots for fighting. 3.5/5.

'Chronicle': a superhero origin story with a really dark twist. Liked it a lot. Good characters, interesting story (lacking a bit in the explanation area, but most movies do that nowadays) and unexpected twists made this by far the most enjoyable flick I saw this weekend. 4/5.

End of Watch
cop movie starring Jake Gyllenhall and Michael Pena (one of my favorite actors)-done heavily as though it was filmed with dashcams/camcorders/etc.
5/5

If you like cop movies, watch this one- I've seen reviewers say it's one of the best ever, and I agree.:thumrigh::thumrigh: from me.

i recently saw Twilight Breaking Dawn.....and it was great ...the whole series is worth watching.

if you like fiction and mainly vampire movies then this is your series.

i am not one to watch movies or TV ...usually i fall asleep or leave out of bordom....but this movie kept my interest bcoz its unpredictable .....i was never sure what was going to happen next.....plus the vampire guy was cute and so was the warewolf guy (especially the warewolf guy)

5/5

Lol rani! Just thought I'd tell you because they left it out of the movie in the end of the book Carlisle explains to the voltury that they are not werewolf but just shape shifters. Their ancestors choose the wolf and over time they forgot they could change into other animals.that's why they don't change people if they bite them and why they can control when they change.thought you might like to know.

Wreck it Ralph 5/5 :glasses7:

I think this is a great idea. Maybe it would be better if the moderators would develop a section for it in the forums. Could even have different groups/categories Action, Horror, Comedy etc. I myself very rarely think the critics do an accurate review of a movie. Just food for thought.

Avengers 4.5 out of 5 Really well done if you like superhero movies.
Warrior 5 out of 5 Came out several years ago but excellent movie about the struggles of a family around Ultimate fighting.
Sky Fall 4.5 out of 5 Definitely one of the best Bond films and I've seen them all.

The Dark Knight Rises (Batman movie that my Son bought last night)

2 of 5

Kind of rediculous and boring.

Just watched it last night. I'd give it a 3. They lose me with the phony stuff.

Wife liked it (???)

The second one "All Saints Day " is also excellent .
