I am restoring a 67 383 barracuda. There are some dents on the pass side inner fenderwells in the area by the exh manifold. I was wondering if these were factory. Does anyone know? I cant figure out how to post pictures, but if anyone has an idea, i cal email them.

Do you mean small demples?

Would have to see the pics. Click on the "add reply" button below the posts or click the "go advanced" button in the "quick reply" box. Scroll down and select "upload photos" below. Follow the instructions. If the files are the wrong type or too big they won't load.

When adding pictures from your PC, when you are in a post that you are working on scroll down and you will see an "upload photos" button under "attach files". Click on that and another small window will open and give you the option to browse your pictures (it helps to label them so you can find them) click on the file extension and then upload.

When you are done simply click "submit reply" and they will post.

BUT they must be in the correct format AND sized to fit. Jpg is the easiest.

It helps if you can downsize them enough so it doesn't stretch the thread all out of shape but are still easily visible.

All we know for certain is the big blocks were dropped in from the top at the factory.
I worked with a man at a Ford store who started out at a Dodge dealership in Ohio.
He said the factory used a hammer to mesage the inner fenders a little for the first big block builds. He didn't say the inner fender or exhaust manifolds were modified a short time later but I suspect that was the case.
I must add this... Troy knew these cars from top to bottom. I am very lucky to have known, worked with, and learned from him. He had no more cause to make up stories then than I have today so I do beleive a hammer was needed to get the first big blocks in the first 67 A-bodies.

Here is a pic of the inner fender from Formula s. I'm posting it for him.

My 68 fish is also beat up in that location. It has a small block. I just figured it was somebody trying to put in headers with the motor bolted in.
