Any chance of getting to see under that hood? I am attempting to run a similar set up, 440 69 Barracuda Notch, w/ 5speed

Very nice sir. You even have the valve covers I like. That thing look stuffed in there. I cant wait for mine to be finished:prayer:

Here's my contribution. 440/727 '71 Swinger. Started out as a pile of parts with an empty engine bay and a /6 K-frame:


Looking better... Now it needs an engine. Hrm....

Now she's running and it's time to get the interior parts, find a driveshaft and install the windshield.
 
How well do the brakes work without a booster when you put a BB in an A body?
 
The brakes work fine. I'm not overly strong or big (5'10", 180ish), but I can easily bring my son's Dart down from speed. Had to do it with a blown left front tire from 70 one evening...

The brakes are stock 73-up A-body discs with 11x3 C-body drums out back.

440 Source sell that style valve cover but you have to put in your own baffles unless they started to make them with them already in there. My friend has a set and they have no baffles.

A disc brake set up with a 440 will work great. It is all in making sure you put the correct master cylinder on with the proper piston bore size.
 
I am almost a member. Here is my 68 Dart that I will start to work on to put my 440 in.

Yup, but at the time I bought the master I didn't research anything (around 96 or 97). I just bought a manual brake master for a 73 Dart and rebuilt 76 Dart calipers (they were slightly cheaper than the 73 calipers).
