Hey guys
A while ago i built a 360 magnum and kept the magnum timing cover. All i changed was the sump from a truck one to a LA pan.
It didn't seal very well but i have heard guys using them. Im not sure if it was because i used the magnum timing case with the LA pan or if my pan was just old and damaged.
Anyone used the one piece gasket with a LA pan and the magnum timing case with no oil leaking problems?
thanks

Yes, installed one from a late model Jeep Grand Cherokee (1998-2000 something magnum V8 360) one piece.Got it from the Mopar Dealership. Installed in a 70 Duster. It was a Magnum crate engine that the owner installed a deep LA pan.Moroso I believe. It must have worked customer never complained of any leaks. That was 4 years ago.

Did it have the magnum timing cover or the LA one?

It can work but beware it does not have the bumps for the LA pan so extra RTV is needed. I didnt want to risk a leak so I swapped it out for a traditional gasket.

Please read post above...if it is not used with a magnum pan...get a tube of RTV or you will have a leaker...

There are one piece available for LA. That would be the best route.

Any idea where/ who?

I made the mistake of buying the 1 piece for the LA. Leaked like a siv despite lots of RTV at the timing chain cover. Did not have the 2 "grommets" that go through the the front of the pan (to keep it in place) and started leaking like crazy after 200 miles or so.

Weirdest thing to see oil shooting out like it was.

Ended up having to pull the entire block out to remove and replace the oil pan gasket. Sucks.

Save yourself a headache, buy the traditional 4 piece and use "The Right Stuff" around the perimeter of the pan, going heavy at the timing cover joints.

I think Milodon made one.
The magnum one can be made to work you just need to use a fair amount of ultra black RTV on the end caps to make them seal well.
