NOT a joke, fell of the table and bruised my ribs

KeeRIPES I've had a bad month/ week!!!. First the what turned out to be "two brothers" supposed to be buyin' the estate backed out at the last minute. They've had this tied up for nearly 2 months. Only bright spot there is they had a bunch of earnest money in the deal

Last week and a half my knee started hurting (more) for no reason, felt like a goose-egg. Then my calf hurt sorta like a hamstring. It finally cleared up Sunday for no reason.

Then today I went to the physical therapy gal and she wants me to roll over on my other side. I was arguing with my phone, wallet, and keys, and ROLLED RIGHT OFF THE TABLE. Bruised my ribs and side, I feel like crap tonight........gargling pain pills

Supposed to go back to work tomorrow!!!!
 
Damn man. You just caint catch a break. Kitty and I will send some prayers your way. I will try to call you Friday and Saturday. I am taking a weekend off.......for the first time in over 3 1/2 years.
 
When it rains it pours.

Hope it turns around soon for you.

so you were on your back on a table with a PT nurse ? Couldnt have been all that bad !..

I would marry her if she wasn't VERY. She knows her stuff. I FIRED the first team at a different outfit. They made me feel like I was a 20 year old preppin for the marathon. I finally got up and looked that one in the eye, and said "you people don't have any idea what is wrong with me or what it will take to help me" and I WALKED OUT.

This gal has a masters in whatever "manipulation" it is, and today spent a LOT of time diagnosing my movement and range in both shoulders which "ain't good." Whether she can help me much or push me towards surgery remains to be seen. This all started with my knees. Now that the estate is "not sold" getting copay money for all this is questionable.

On a side note I got a buck raise recently at work.

Sorry to hear this Del. It sucks to get old - but the alternative is much worse. Hang in there!
 
When im in physio,pockets get emptied.
The therapist i go to really knows her stuff. All but cured my sciatica

Falling off the table would never be good,for that matter falling off anything is never good.
I have been having trouble with my knees and right hip. I know its my boots. They are worn out.
Soles are worn uneven, today is my first day in new boots. Same boots, just new.

I also empty my pockets when I'm on a table for physical therapy, makes it much easier and more comfortable!!!:thumbsup:
 
Well I am REALLY sore this morning, and knew I would be. I'm going to work but I'm predicting "an early retirement" LOL And yeh........It DOES hurt when I laugh!!

Dang man. Take care of yourself. Those bruised ribs can take a while to heal. Been there. done that!

So, as a mechanic, working on taller vehicles and using whatever is handy to access engine,a crate or step or whatever it is will slide out at the worst possibe times. Perhaps its conditioning, as i get sore ribs, but i dont think i ever bruised them. Have had some pretty good impacts on the rad supports though.

I slipped while doing a water pump on my tool truck. It hurt but I went on. A month later I was in the hospital getting EKG's and stress tests. No problem found. That afternoon I went to the chiropractor and she poked around and said "you have a rib out of place". A couple min. later I was chest pain free.
 
...................and "going to work" ended quickly. "Something moved" when I moved in my big chair, and suddenly there is some more pain. I'll be goin to the doc, later.............

I have to be honest........I did this all by myself. She asked me to turn over, and I had my pants full of junk. Partly, I was arguing with that stuff, in fact I was about to hand her my wallet and had already gotten rid of my cellphone. It IS a narrow table. We'll see, I guess...........
 
Still it is there responsibilty to make sure you are safe. My wife works in a clinic and I am sure she would agree... They have insurance for this stuff.
 
That could be. Just got back from the doc. She thinks I dislocated a rib this morning, and the two of us decided to go back to the therapy folks to have her reset it. "Unfortunately" one of my friends, who is a weightlifter has had one reset, and he described it for me. Not looking forward to that but if it mostly fixes the pain, "great." An hour ago, I could barely move. I do feel less pain now, for "no good reason" LOL.

Well today things got worse, and it was a cluster efff........

The end result is, I could not get into see the local joint, had to drive out to Post Falls. I "thought" we were getting an Xray to "clear" the way to a chiropractor. Instead, they drug me CLEAR back out to Post Falls.......and uncomfortable drive in my condition........to tell me I have cracked ribs and therefore cannot see a chiropractor. ****!!! They could have told me THAT over the PHONE!!!! If that is not bad enough, the woman I saw out there........an NP, DID NOT EVEN PHYSICALLY EXAMINE the affected area. She lifted my shirt and mostly fucked around with a stethoscope

I have a call in to the local "my regular" outfit, they are supposed to call back tomorrow. I told them I want a specialist to look this over and make damn sure we are on the right track
