So this morning I go to pull my Challenger out to go pick up a couple of things. I park in the back section of my yard where my garage is and have alley access to the yard and garage. There is a restaurant and a small Mexican bakery directly behind me. So there is a guy in the parking lot of the bakery drinking coffee and having a piece of Mexican sweet bread. He comes over after I pull my car out and ask if it was for sale, I said sure it is for the right price. He ask how much so I say 25K and not a penny less. So while the car is warming up he is looking it over and he tells me its got a miss to it. So I say don't think so. He says sure it does listen to the exhaust. So I say don't think so again but whatever. This car is a 360 with about 10.5 to 1 compression and a Comp Cam XE268 cam. it was kind of on the cool side this morning (low 60's here so not cold) and I don't have a choke on the Holley 780 carburetor so it does do a bit of thumping when its cold. Come to find out he says he buys and sells cars to overseas clients mainly and is always on the look out for older muscle cars. Whats funny was he didn't know what the car was until he read the script in the grille. So needless to say after that I cut the conversation short and got on my way. Picture of my Challenger.

"Overseas clients" lmao. Reposts ads on the net...Nice challenger!
Met a guy a few years back driving a cool AMX at a coffee shop. Spoke with him and was talking about a 67 Challenger. I corrected him once and he disagreed lol.

I think Massey Ferguson built a Challenger in the middle 60s

NASA made Challengers. But for all the fire belching power they had, they were wicked slow of the line.
Boy if I had a dollar for every guy that said I shouldda built a 340 instead of a 360, I'd be halfway to a new set of rear quarters. And don't you know it; those 340s had a pretty good "miss" to them ,too.

Me too, my biggest regret is getting rid of a 68 Sport Satellite 383 Auto. I still piss and moan about selling that car almost 20 years ago.

yup, and the kids make it worse, my youngest daughter, 26, is still mad about the 69' 340 swinger i let go around 15 years ago. that was the one she liked going to school in

I like the kind of miss that sounds like a shakey coffee can full of lug nuts.
That is about what it sounds like. Guy was a tool and had him pegged after about 2 min of speaking with him. Now maybe he'll prove me wrong and actually buy my car from me and sell it to one of his "overseas clients" , then I'll go about buying another 68-69 Road Runner or Satellite

the fool's folly is his foolishness, or is it
the foolishness of a fool is to his folly?
IDK something like that. I had a little brother like that; he was killed in a truck/truck collision. He was a pot-head and knew everything about everything.
I recently lost my second junior brother to cancer. He used to be a pot-head, and knew everything the little brother knew; two stinking peas in a pod and fools all the same.
I got two younger sisters left; one shoulddabin a doctor cuz she's diagnosed herself with every disease known to man, and chews pills like candy. Yeah you guessed it, pick a topic, she'll tell you everything you need to know about it.
Not one of these fools ever cracked a Bible open,and knew nothing about their creator;
but they could sure talk a good game.

25K for that car is low, IMO. That guy was fullashit.

I thought pain while pissing was due to some sex disease. My dick never hurt from selling a car but who knows, strange things do happen.

There's all kinds of ways of looking at things. One could say that your siblings cared about cared about themselves more than anything else (God's Temple), and you seem to care a lot about your car that you talke about quite a bit (a piece of metal, Pagan Idol).....
I'm NOT saying this is the case, but there's all kinds of ways of looking at stuff....

In the interest of security keep an eye out in the next few weeks. I’m sure he’ll tell his buddies and in turn they’ll tell their buddies that they’ve seen the car and where it is.

If my car caught fire right this instant, I wouldn't care one bit about it.
My siblings cared not one bit to hear the gospel message, for all their smarts they threw up a wall to God. Nota one ever came to me and asked why or how I was stronger than my years or why sickness and disease passed by me
even tho they all knew I had been baptized in 94. That's how God's kingdom works; God calls whom He wants, and doesn't call whom he doesn't want. No one comes to salvation unless God calls him. If you or I think you know a candidate for the Kingdom, we intercede for them, through prayer, but a thousand gospel messages will bounce right off that person, until God makes His move.
My Mum musta spent her whole life interceding for me. Just less than 2 months after I was baptized, she had a massive heart attack at night, and moved on, at age 60. Now, I was not the favorite child, so I'm sure Mum prayed for all five of her kids. (My Pops was an avowed atheist, or some days, just agnostic, so I got nothing from him). God choose me. God moved on me. I rejected Him at least two times but the last time, it was pretty clear, AJ better capitulate.
Here it is
Proverbs 14:24 The crown of the wise is their riches: but the foolishness of fools is folly.

I spilt no tears for them, nor for Pops. They stared right at me for years, seeing my strength, and my health, and the source of these was not hid from them. Yet they chose not to accept Jesus. There is no justifying such foolishness. I spilt no tears for them, nor for Pops.
And so it was with Israel, having God in their midst, yet they went whoring after other gods. gods of wood and stone, and cast metal. So GodAlmighty abandoned them, and left them under a curse. Do not weep for the accursed.Let the dead bury the dead.
The same is right here on FABO, not one of you is interested in my health or strength, and take it as bragging. Oh, I'm bragging all right; bragging on the God who plucked me off the broad path that leads to destruction, and instead He put me on the narrow path that leads to everlasting life; the Why of it is anybodies guess. But He did more than that; He led me to read the Old Testament, in the which are the blessings and cursings listed one by one for the WHOLE world to see. GodAlmighty testifies to them saying they are for ALL generations. I am just claiming my rights. and my promises. Any Believer can claim those same promises. But the "church" has put up a wall between those promises and the pew warmers, saying all that was done away with at the cross. The church is a LIAR! And not just about this.
If GodAlmighty calls you or anyone, just say yes, and read your Bible; starting in the FRONT of the Book!
All that I have is because God made me a steward over it, for the time He has allotted me; namely 70 years, 80 if by reason of good health. If satan took it all away right now, I would shed no tears.
Here's a miracle for you:
4 years ago we were blessed to receive a wonderful 66pound dog, whom we grew very fond of. I became a steward over him, and we showered him with love.
Yesterday, my wife and I went to a nearby city for supper. When we returned to our car at 9:52PM, our precious was not there. We spent an hour looking and calling and then I called it off, it was too dark and it was like looking for a needle in a haystack. My wife , bless her heart is not a Believer, and she was heart-broken.
When we got home, I reired to my prayer-closet and asked God; that if it seemed good to Him, I wouldn't mind to have this dog back.
So first thing this morning as soon as it turned light, we dashed back to that city. I went straight to the cop-shop to make inquiry, but they were closed until 9AM. We were over an hour too early, so next stop was the vet-shop who opened at eight. I waited the two minutes, then upon entering , inquired as to where they take found animals on account of mine was lost. They directed me to a nearby town. When I got there it was 8:30. Here I was told that they had, just about 10 minutes ago, received a call from the copshop to come and get a dog that matched the description I had just given. So the nice attendant makes a few calls and finds the dog still at the copshop, and oh by the way, she cancels the dogcatcher truck. So off we go, back to the bigcity copshop. It is now 9:02 . Ok so I go in, cuz now they are open; and there lies my dog. So I spend about 10 minutes in pleasantries, and off we go.
We get home, let me guess just before 9:52AM, less than 12 hours later.
This is how the Kingdom works. Miracle after miracle.
Who takes a super-friendly, well-trained, handsome, found-dog to the cops? Why was my first stop at the cop shop? The dog was already in there, the first time I got there, but the place wasn't open yet.Why did I get to the first vet shop just two minutes before opening-time? Why did I get to the pound in the sister city just 10 minutes after the call came in about a found dog needing pick-up? Why had the dog-catcher not yet gone out? And I get back to the copshop just 2 minutes after they open the doors to the public?
Com'on, you gotta see God working behind the scenes here, to answer my prayer.

James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

righteous man just means Believer, don't get hung up.
Sure, you can chalk this all up to coincidence, believe what you will. But when things like this happen time-after-time-after-time, it gets real. I can't believe I was so desperate to hang on to my pagan world! I truly was a fool.

I don't love my car; I get excited by how well it runs, that is all
