Tools are usually the only exception.

Got some pushrod tools in today from Jeg's. I'll get some more when my ship comes in....

I have a set, too. They come in handy and are half way good quailty

Handy to have in the tool box!
Yes sir... I had an old adjustable pushrod that I found in an old engine many years ago and it worked fine for measuring the pushrods in my 351-C engines after I did a bit of cutting and welding. But it's long gone and it's time I stepped up and bought some new tools.

I'm going to have to measure the pushrods in the Gen III Hemi's I have... don't think both will help me.

Finding a caliper long enough to measure correctly is the next thing. LOL

What part numbers? Closer pics please?
Are these pushrod measurement tools?
Please enlighten the inundated.
Jegs brand pushrod length checkers, checking springs and one adaptor with a ball socket. They listed under the tool section.

I can do pics when I get home Friday night. Hauling beer, cheese and pizza toppings until then.

Have no idea what the spring is for, I thought it was one piece, like a caliper stick or something. These look different

The springs are used in place of the real springs when checking the installed height of the springs. Never had these before... Just another tool in the box.

That spring is a lot easier than the intense spring. Darn near worn out my arm not having one with the last set of springs.

So here's the latest tool... man I had to do a bunch of soul searching to pull the trigger and buy this. Not Cheap! But if I want to do some valve work on a newer Hemi I really have no choice... when you pay cash for everything you can feel that money roll get smaller in your pocket!

Scroll down on this page to see the video. The guy doing the video is really old school... it's been a long time I have heard anyone use the term "keys" for the valve locks. And using that speed driver is another clue... transmission guys still cling to those (and paddle style 3/8" air tools) even with modern electric tools being available.

If it makes you feel any better, that's the best price I've seen on those. Thanks!

Summit sent me their tool catalogue while back. WOW there are a lot of stuff in there I can use!!!! But $$$ add up. Lots of stuff there too I could use IF I know HTF to use them!!!!!!

I got a $19.00 discount off their price on fleabay...cost me $174.00.

I need a valve spring compressor for my LA stuff, too. I bought all the stuff to build one but I've been too lazy.

This still the latest greatest tool for valve spring compression? What did y’all use for pressuring up the cylinder while swapping springs?
