I'm not looking to challenge 318hvtwf into doing something great and spending 300 tons of money, but like we all want to do it right the first time do something good and build your own self something that's going to last a while not just maybe..

Well admittedly I could only get bits and pieces of that it was getting a little crazy...lol.. but I was getting the same old just of how you know everything and I know nothing...
How I've Got Time Slips to prove it and you have...???.. basically when your look back nothing but lip service? Whenever you're asked for evidence of anything which like you said you do not have to prove but you know people just read the internet and I'm a supermodel...

Don't touch a thing. Write the check. When it clears, I'll come over and make your car faster.

And when I done, I'll jump in it, and drive a tenth and a half or two tents right out of it.

Prove me. I've made better, smarter, faster guys lose money on that. Especially the stick cars.

admittedly I purposely do not do what yellow rose tells me to do and also I've asked him not to tell me to do good stuff because I will not do it on purpose...
reverse psychology works on me the best because when someone tells me what I can't do... It's game on!... I've been told what I can't do all my life and here I am!...

Thanks for proving how IGNORANT you are. And how stupid that is to admit in public.

I bet you'd argue with and ignore Warren Johnson. Just dumb j. Just dumb.

Question for Jpar......

So, what’s the best that thing ever ran?

I’m sure it’s posted on this forum somewhere....... but I’m sure you know it off the top of your head.

Best ET, best mph, best 60’.

And what was that exact combo?

Just a FYI - He has two versions. The "drag" set up and now the current "street set up".

^^^ just like 318hvtwf said I have the full kill version from a couple years ago, and the scaled-down version now...

When the car was on full kill and had the bigger cam plastic race seats and a roll bar also Hoosier 4 by 15 Skinny's up front and 28 in. Hoosier Slick's on prostars in the back.. about 2, 800 lb without me I'm 225..
I think my son pulled off a high 1.5 60 foot and I pulled off plenty of 1.6's, but mostly 1.7's. SS Springs cheap Summit drag shocks and traction bars in the rear and cheap Summit drag shocks up front with at the time a very blown suspension.. lol..
It's best time was a high 11.4.. plenty of 11.5's and really liked 11.6-11.7..
118 to 119 miles an hour pretty consistently...
Which told me the car should really be very high tens very low 11 pretty easily..
I spent so much time building the car and not getting enough consistent time at the track it was always a here and a there and never enough money to go weekend and week out... And at that I never seemed to really have enough fun with the car.. at least bang for buck wise...
That's why I sold the Slicks and skinnies and bought some heavy steel cop rims and regular front tires and drag radials. I cut the rollbar out and put a full interior in it.. I did recently take the back seat out because no one has ever sit back there since I've owned it.. it's just sitting over on the storage Shelf.. also now I take more time to tune the carburetors and Jet them correctly... Which before when I had it on full kill they were just completely stinking gassy rich....
And again I agree that 318hvtwf would be better off spending his $1, 400 on a stroker kit like I did instead of the heads, but again maybe you should say something maybe again LOL...

My mom's youngest brother Craig known affectionately by me as Uncle Craig got onto some race team and did literally told Warren Johnson he "wasn't s***" to his face!!
So trust me the blood does run in our family!...
officially I think my Uncle Craig is dumber than a bag of hammers but that doesn't stop people...lol...
Unforgiveness sakes if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen, we're just bench Racing for crying out loud...
You and 318hvtwf should start your own race team based on Whose cars you've driven and who else has done what....

What were the gears?

Launch rpm & shift point?

Cam specs?

TR I assume?
Bowl ported stock heads with 2.02’s?
Compression ratio?

I haven't spent any money on heads yet. Do we know the magnum heads won't get me there??? Stroker kit would require block work to the cylinders, price of 1400 would just go up. You know that from your own project.

I think the best approach for me is to try the magnum heads with the 484 cam. Already have those pieces, so I spend nothing other than what's already been spent. Then add 3.23's and a converter. At that point, make a pass and see where I am. Then I'll know what I may need to buy to push towards 11's.

Is post 337 for me..?..

If I believed this, I think you needed mental help.

If true, your uncle is a moron and lost a chance to learn from one of the greatest N/A minds ever. EVER. And your uncle blew it because he thought HE knew more than WJ??? That's stupid plus arrogance times retarded to infinity.

I've met Warren Johnson. Several times. I met him through my customer, who is still friends with WJ. His mouth was moving, my mouth was locked shut and my ears on full listen. And he said things worth remembering. Every time.

What a shame for you and your family. It's people like you who have made me the prick I am today. If YOU weren't so hard to deal with, I'd help you. For FREE. I'd come to the track, help you tune and even teach as much as you'd be willing to learn. Then I'd jump in your car and out drive you, just for fun. That would give you something to shoot for. (And if you don't think that is probable, ask lead69...he may not agree with me, but he might...just ask him).

Sometimes you need to read what you post and ask yourself why stepping on your own dick feels so good.

Make sure you demand PRH post ALL his time slips, and ALL the time slips for All the cars he's tuned and ALL the dyno sheets for ALL his customers that he has run across a dyno.

Start with that. Then we'll see how it goes.

You guys realize if we didn’t have car websites like this to come on and argue during the Winter months a few of us would probably be serial killers. Love you guys.

I like it.

I don’t think it’ll get you into the 11’s, but it should be a progression from where you are now.
And, as you say...... you already own it.

I actually like seeing people go about things differently than I would.
Since I wouldn’t do it that way....... it’s a way for me to see the results from a different approach.

OUCH!!! Not too personal please.... I think what I'm doing will be a great experiment for all to watch on my expense. Yet another fun project paid for by me :) And I'll post videos vs my son be it win, lose or draw! And if I start behind, what changes I made to catch up! Fun! Fun! It's all about Fun!

Exactly why I posted it. Say it only goes 12.6's. Then we'll ALL know.... on my nickel :)

My launch RPM was all over the place trying to find a great spot which I never really could hence my excitement about the clutch tamer accompanying the two step...
I've went as far up as 6800 as a shift point but never gained anything over 5,800..
410 gears..

It's the number 175 grind in the middle of that chart. that would be Oregon cam grinding solid...
I started with the 188 valves and the 273 rockers and the second year I did more Port work myself and a couple hours by the machine shop and put 202's and the 1. 6 Hughes rockers the second year... Didn't see much bang for the buck with that..
Tunnel ram and 4-speed always..
Remember this wasn't a purpose-built car as we all know it.. this was my purpose built car everything I would have wanted in high school but didn't have.. at least not in my 73 Javelin LOL...

A lot has to do with where you live and race. Lots of fast tracks out there and some very slow ones.
I've been to a "fastest street shootout" as a spectator. All I can say is WOW!!!! DOT approved cars that had to go on a 20 mile run, shut the car off for 1 minute, and restart.

this was my purpose built car everything I would have wanted in high school but didn't have.. ..
This is very important.... owner having the car that the owner wants. We motivate ourselves for different reasons sometimes.
