I don't blame them. Local taxes are a pain. They have to file a separate sales tax return for that city. You may be the only one in that area they sell to.

I think I lived somewhere during my 8 locations while active duty Air Force that required each taxpayer to file and pay their own local taxes.

I'm sure not many did...

I agree, politicians need to encourage commence, not make it more difficult.

Yep, the last 2 times I tried to order from them I got the same thing sooooooo Parts Geek got my business.

No, I have ordered from them many times. No issues I past. Tried my daughter's address, same state different city same thing
I had issues awhile back. Wouldn't take my order all night. The next night it went through with no problem. Different issue though.

You are going to see more of this kind of thing in the future. States have been fighting for years to have sales tax collected in internet vendors. They are trying to collect the tax for the revenue, but some of it is driven be calls from brick and mortar business saying internet based companies have an unfair advantage because no tax is collected on the same goods they sell. That said, this is really a battle of giant corporations. The internet Amazon's and eBay's of the world battling with store fronts of Walmart for dollars. Sadly we are going to be the losers in all this higher prices, or in this case not being able to get the parts we need sometimes. The linked article below gives some of the facts on what is happening.

Who Must Pay Internet Sales Tax? What Is the Law?

The FABO Mail exchange. Drop ship to safe addresses, pay freight in again.....did you save anything? Almost bought an IR scope with Moms Texas address. Shiii, hard to get a high capacity NERF gun magazine in Cali nowadays....

It used to be that if you bought something local you paid sales tax, if you bought online you paid shipping, but no tax, usually came out to be about the same price, sometimes more due to shipping, esp for heavy items

Everything hit the fan with the state of North Dakota vs Wayfair. Wayfair lost at the Supreme Court and everyone started having to charge and pay sales tax even over the internet.
