Trick flow 240s on milder builds versus Edelbrock RPMs

-
The FE ford cylinder head findings will be interesting. For those who have never removed and installed FE cast iron intakes its a real treat. NOT

If I remember correctly. The head make up part of the intake or something like that. Ie. valve cover cover some intake and some head.

A friend has a 427 side oiler in a 49' Ford Anglia. Fastest car I've ever been in.

Sage advice. If you already have the RPM heads......use them.
Simply for reference, on my bench with the only OOTB 240 heads I have tested, here are the airflow differences vs OOTB RPM.

Lift............240 additional cfm
.100..........+0
.200..........+0
.300..........+11
.400..........+37
.500..........+58
.600..........+65
.700..........+53

I do like the additional 240 airflow.
I totally would go with TFS 240 I tried both the Eddy's and TFS and really there is a day/night difference between them. On my 451 with a Perf rpm intake it made 612 hp and 625tq all while getting 12" vaccum. The best I managed with the Eddy was 550hp 575tq. Spend the extra few $$ and get the TFS

What was done to the Edelbrock heads?

As lite as those were , any thing would be fast in it ! All the crazy ford motors I remember , all got beat by hemi`s !

I just cleaned up the flashing and took them apart to check everything. The TFS heads I removed the Ribs from the CNC to eliminate the turbulance and It worked .

I doubt that, but more importantly let's not forget the Ford hemi that made 616hp on a single 4bbl and 657 on dual quads. :poke:
