I'm still trying to figure out the correct 1966 factory kickdown linkage setup for a 4bbl auto. Anyone have a stock 4bbl. automatic 1966 A-body they can shoot a photo? I'd like to mainly see the upper bell crank assembly that bolts to the back of the head. In particular, the offset angle of the upper lever. I have plenty of '65 examples, but, they seem to be different for some reason. I have one '66 example, but, I need to verify it is correct. From what I've been able to determine, the lower linkage rods are also different between '65 and '66. The lever on the trans looks to be the same, along with the lower bell crank on the bell housing, but, the rods are bent different. I can only presume they were changed when they went from a cable trans to a linkage trans. Can anyone verify this?
Thanks, Mark

It's in the service manual...

I had some problem with my Dart Charger convertible. It has a 273 x 4 bbl. It seems the rear bracket upper arm is different the 2 bbl. The 1st and 2nd rod is different too if I remember correct.

Yup, yours is the '65 version 4bbl. On the '66 one I have, the upper lever has an offset to the outside, not the inside like yours. The 2bbl has a straight arm even more inside than your 4bbl one. In other words, I've found 3 different ones. I always thought there were only 2, a 2bbl. and a 4bbl. With a 3rd version, I'm thinking that there must be a year difference.
