72 Dart went to take key out of switch and it won't come out also switch won't go to acc position start and run are ok what do I look for? Worked fine last week argghh!

Wiggle the steering wheel while trying. The locking mechanism may be under tension; it happens with newer cars too.

You have to pull the steering wheel and lock plate. There is a tiny hole where you need to push a brass button on the lock cylinder. I have my doubts that it's the cylinder however. Will it turn to the Off and Lock position? You may have a bad ignition switch. I'd disconnect the battery before I got into the column.
